Commenting on the same topic, Qatari daily Al-Raya said that the Israeli occupation has no limits in its barbaric attacks and aggression. It was not enough for this brutal occupation to kill innocent children, women and defenseless civilians, nor bombing hospitals protected by international law, or killing premature babies and intensive care patients. Rather, the occupation has reached the point of forging and fabricating lies and false justifications to destroy civilian objects.

The Israeli occupation continues to target Qatari civilian objects in Gaza as part of the its collective punishment policy that aims at uprooting the Palestinian people from their land and liquidating their just cause. In a statement yesterday, the State of Qatar condemned in the strongest terms the Israeli occupation’s bombardment of the Qatar Committee for the Reconstruction of Gaza headquarters, considering it a gross violation of international law and an extension of the occupation’s approach in targeting civilians and civilian objects, including hospitals, schools, population centers, and shelters for displaced persons, Al-Raya said.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that the bombing of the Qatari Committee headquarters is an extension of the policy of targeting civilians, especially since this committee has worked through its projects to alleviate the suffering of the population of the besieged Gaza Strip, caused by the long blockade and ongoing aggression, the paper added.

This hateful occupation will not stop its crimes as long as the international reaction is weak. The failure and weakness of the international community gives it the green light to continue its crimes without deterrence or hindrance. From this standpoint, the State of Qatar underscored the urgent need for the international community to hold Israel accountable for its repeated crimes against civilians and civilian objects and pressure it to comply with international laws, Al-Raya stressed.

Under the headline “New Israeli Crime”, Al-Arab said that the Israeli occupation continues its crimes in Gaza Strip, in which its brutal forces have not differentiate between humans and stones, nor health or humanitarian institutions or homes for 40 days. Yesterday, the occupation added another crime to its hateful record by bombing the headquarters of Qatar Committee for the Reconstruction of Gaza.

Al-Arab said the attack on Qatari civilian objects reveals to the world once again the ugly face of the occupation, and calls for action by the international community to compel Israel to stop its crimes.

Under the headline “Silence Emboldens Settlers”, English newspapers The Peninsula said as Israeli aggression continues with paperweight opposition by the West, the settlers grow emboldened with their actions, statements and plans for the Palestinian people and their lands.

Already, more than 11,000 have been killed by Israel while it has continuously attacked hospitals and schools all under the flimsy and unfounded justification of Hamass presence. Yesterday, the Israeli occupation forces attacked and shelled the headquarters of the Qatar Committee for the Reconstruction of Gaza a blatant violation of international law, which, in hindsight, Israel seems to be oblivious to the fact, The Peninsula said.

The attack is an extension of the occupations approach in targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure, including hospitals, schools, population centers, and shelters for displaced persons, the paper noted.

It is imperative that the international community hold Israel accountable for its repeated crimes against civilians and public infrastructure. It cannot be stressed enough that Israel must be pressured and made to comply with international laws, The Peninsula concluded.
