President of Presidential Council meets President of Niger, Palestinian Prime Minister and the Foreign Minister of Tunisia.

Addis Ababa, President of the Presidential Council Mohamed Al Mnefi on Saturday held, at the Headquarters of the African Union in Addis Ababa, a series of meetings with the President of the Republic of Niger, the Palestinian Prime Minister, and the Foreign Minister of Tunisia, that focused on bilateral relations and issues of common concern, including the latest developments in the situation in Libya.

As part of coordination of positions between the two neighboring countries in the deliberations of the African summit, especially the file of security and peace Al Mnefi and the Nigerien President Mohamed Bazum discussed the file of illegal migration,

They also discussed bilateral relations, and ways to develop them, and the return of the Executive Secretariat of the Sahel-Sahara Community to the official headquarters of the gathering in Tripoli, and the two sides agreed to put forward a proposal to hold an emergency summit of the Community in one of the member states next March in Morocco.

The President of the presidential council also met with Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammed Ashtia, head of the Palestinian delegation to the 35th Regular African Union Summit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

During the meeting, Al Mnefi reaffirmed Libya’s position in support the Palestinian people, through continued political support for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, with Jerusalem as its capital.

In another meeting, the President of the Presidential Council discussed with The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Tunisians abroad Othman Al-Jarandi , who heads his country’s delegation to the Summit, bilateral relations and ways to develop them, in the interest of the two brotherly peoples.
