Brussels-President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al Mnefi discussed with President of the European Council Charles Michel in the Belgian capital on Friday results of the African-European summit and Libyan-European relations.
The meeting which was held on the sidelines of the sixth African-European summit focused on prospects of Libyan-European joint cooperation, what the EU could offer to support security and stability in Libya, ways to resolve the Libyan crisis, and a number of issues of common concern at the political, security and economic levels.
The President of the Presidential Council called on the European Union to cooperate in the file of illegal migration, which drains Libya’s before European security and economic resources, and stressed the need for joint action to secure the maritime border with the European Union.
