Tripoli, The Presidency Council has expressed discontent over remarks the President of the High Council of State Khalid Al Meshri made to a television channel on August 29, 2021, regarding the visit of Council’s Member Abdullah Al Lafi to Tunisia.
The Council clarified in a statement, a copy of which was obtained by the Libyan news agency, that the Council collectively decided that member Abdullah Al Lafi perform a working visit to Tunisia, representing the Council, to get a firsthand account of the political developments witnessed by the country, within the Council’s responsibility to be informed about what’s going in a brotherly neighboring country.
The Council said it takes its decisions unanimously, and called on all bodies to act within the competences stipulated for in the law, and the outcome of the political process.
