On the sidelines of the Libya Energy Summit: The National Unity Government presents its plan to invest in the oil and gas sector with leading companies.

Tripoli, The activities of the Libya Energy and Economy Summit kicked off this morning in the capital, Tripoli, with the participation of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, “Ramadan Abu Janah” and ministers – economy – foreign affairs – oil and gas – finance – and the Minister of State for Prime Minister Affairs, within the plan of the National unity government Infrastructure development for the oil and energy sectors and promising investment opportunities.

The summit – organized by the Ministry of Oil and Gas at the Corinthia Hotel in Tripoli – witnessed, during its first day, the signing of agreements between the Government of National Unity and the French company Total, as well as the presentation of the government’s plan to invest in the oil and gas sector with leading companies in the field, increasing production capacities, training programs and qualifying national cadres, in addition to investment projects. In the field of alternative energy and support and development of the public electricity network.

The summit, which will continue tomorrow, Tuesday, was attended by a number of members of the House of Representatives, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Electricity Company, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Investment Promotion and Privatization Affairs, a number of directors of commercial and specialized banks, ambassadors of foreign countries, directors of major foreign oil companies operating in Libya, and a group of interested and researchers.
