NCHRL expresses concern over Tripoli clashes

Tripoli, 12 June 2022 (Lana) The National Commission for Human Rights expressed its concern about the recent clashes in Tripoli, stressing that violence forms a serious threat to the security and safety of civilians and their property ,and deepens the humanitarian and security crisis in the country.

In a statement on Friday, the commission held all concerned parties fully responsible for any escalatory steps ,that undermine efforts of achieving peace and stability in Libya.

The commission also renewed its call for international sanctions committee to implement relevant UN security council resolution on prosecution of anyone who plans or commits violations of international law or human rights in Libya or obstructs the process of the political transition in the country.
