National Security Adviser discusses with the Spanish Ambassador issues of common interest.

Tripoli, National Security Adviser Ibrahim Bushnaf reviewed at a meeting with Spain’s Ambassador to Libya Javier García Larachi in Tripoli on Wednesday Libyan-Spanish relations and the current situation.

The two sides discussed cooperation between the national security councils in both countries, issues of common concern in the areas of security, illegal immigration and issues of international terrorism.

Bushnaf stressed that the Libyan people have the right to choose their president and parliament through the ballot boxes, freely and without any domestic or international pressure, noting that the most important thing than holding elections is to accept their results.

The meeting discussed importance of the National Security Council and its role in coordinating all state agencies to ensure protection of Libya’s national security.
