Ministry of Justice and UK Embassy discuss cooperation.

Tripoli, The meeting held between the Ministry of Justice and the Embassy of the United Kingdom in Tripoli was devoted to cooperation between the two countries in the field of developing and improving reform and rehabilitation institutions.

The meeting, which was held at the office of the Ministry of Justice in Tripoli and was chaired by the Undersecretary of the Judicial Police, reviewed the priorities for developing reform institutions, their management, work systems, and monitoring and control systems in accordance with international standards.

She also presented an overview during the meeting of the activities and programms that include her vision of bringing these institutions to international standards, according to Media Office of the Ministry of Justice on its official page.

The meeting concluded with an agreement to hold a meeting during the coming period via video conferencing, comprising specialists from both parties, entrusted with the task of formulating a set of joint programmes that can be implemented based on the strategy of the Ministry of Justice in managing this file.

The meeting was attended by the Head of the Cooperation Department in the Ministry, the Director of the Undersecretary’s Office, the Head of the Institutional Improvement Unit, the Head of the Women’s Empowerment Unit at the Judicial Police, and for the United Kingdom, the Director of the Counter-Terrorism and Extremism Network and the Head of Counter-Terrorism Programmes at the Embassy.
