Ministerial Consultative Meeting Of Libya’s Neighboring Countries Kicks Off.

Algiers, The Ministerial Consultative Meeting of Libya’s neighboring countries kicked off in the Algerian capital on Monday. The Libyan Foreign Minister Najla Al Mangoush is attending the meeting.

In addition to Libya and Algeria, the meeting is being attended by Foreign Ministers of Tunisia, Sudan, Egypt, Niger, Chad as well as the Secretary General of the Arab League, Foreign Minister of Congo representing the Congolese President current Chairman of African Union, AU Peace and Political Affairs Commissioner and the UN Special Envoy and Head of Support Mission in Libya.

The Meeting is discussing, over 2 days, joining efforts aimed at finding a lasting solution to the Libyan crisis.

The meeting is an opportunity for consultation and coordination over developments in Libya, and to rally support for an initiative the Foreign Minister Al Mangoush made at Berlin 2 Conference to end all forms of intervention in Libya’s internal affairs, with the aim of holding an international conference, to be presided over by Libya and with participation of all regional and international players engaged in the Libyan file, to bring about security and stability to Libya.
