Member Of The Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi: Libya Has Actively Participated In The Meetings Of The African Partnership Initiative Since Its Inception.

Tripoli, A member of the Presidency Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, affirmed that Libya has actively participated in the meetings of the African Partnership Initiative since its inception, and was one of the first countries to sign agreements, and witnessed the development of all visions for the development of the African continent.

Al-Lafi added, in his speech during the virtual summit of the African Union Agency for Development Guidance Committee, that Libya has contributed to the implementation of development projects that would facilitate the passage of goods to Africa and the world, including the railway project, which we hope will be achieved within the projects of the (NEPAD) initiative.

Al-Lafi expressed his hope that African countries would turn from a source of raw materials to a source of finished or semi-finished goods at least, in order to add value to the African economy, and to create job opportunities for the continent’s youth, and to limit migration.

The work of the 38th summit of the Committee of Heads of State and Government was launched today to direct the African Union Agency – Partnership Initiative for Africa’s Development (NEPAD) in the presence of a member of the Presidency Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, representing Libya.
