Member of Presidential Council Musa Al-Koni begins an official visit to Algeria.

Algeria, Member of Presidential Council, Musa Al-Koni, arrived, Monday, in Algeria, accompanied by the Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army, Major General Mohamed Al-Haddad and a number of officers, on a two-day visit, to discuss many files of common interest.

Al-Koni’s visit comes at the invitation of Algerian President Abdul Majid Tebboune, within the framework of the ongoing consultations between the leaders of the two countries. The Vice-President of the Presidential Council and his accompanying delegation were received at Houari Boumediene Airport by the Speaker of the Algerian Parliament, Abou Ghali Ibrahim and a number of members of the Libyan Embassy in Algeria. It is expected that El-Koni will meet, during this visit, with President Tebboune, to discuss results of his regional tour of neighboring countries last month, which included Sudan, Chad, and Niger, to emphasize Algeria’s active role in the success of the regional partnership to combat terrorism, cross-border crimes, and curb the spread of terrorism, Illegal immigration, and work to ensure the stability of the countries of the region.
