Japan’s Ambassador to Libya confirms his country’s support for elections in Libya

Tripoli- President of the High National Election Commission Imad Al-Sayeh met Wednesday with Japanese Ambassador to Libya Amadera Masaki.

According to a press release issued by the Commission, Al-Sayeh and the Japanese Ambassador discussed political developments in Libya, and ways to support national efforts to conduct the upcoming elections.

According to the statement, the Japanese Ambassador reiterated his country’s support for the Libyan people’s choices and aspirations, to overcome this stage and move towards a peaceful, stable future, praising Commission’s efforts to achieve free and fair elections that reflect the will of the Libyan voters.
