Interior Minister receives iGA chief

Manama, Interior Minister, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, received the Chief Executive Officer of the Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA), Mohammed Ali Al Qaed.

Al Qaed introduced to the Interior Minister the work team of the 10th edition of the Bahrain International eGovernment Forum held last week, during which the winners of the eGovernment Excellence Awards were announced.

The Interior Minister welcomed Al Qaed and the team members, expressing appreciation to the authority for its role in organising the forum as part of an integrated framework to offer the best electronic initiatives, ideas and projects to support the comprehensive development process, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah hailed the efforts of the organising committee and the eGovernment Excellence Award management for keeping pace with technical developments by introducing new categories to promote e-excellence culture among individuals and civic organisations. He said that the government’s digital initiatives and projects showcased during the COMEX Bahrain Exhibition, held on the sideline of the forum, reflected the latest technology to enhance government operations and systems and the quality of services provided to citizens and residents. He wished them all the best in serving the nation.
