High Council of State: Independence is a historic event and Libyan people must preserve it

Tripoli- The High Council of State said that the independence anniversary was not ordinary event, and the sacrifices made by the founding fathers and grandfathers in order to achieve it, is a historic effort that all Libyans are proud of and must be preserved.

This came in a statement by the Council, Saturday, on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of independence, congratulating the Libyan people on this great occasion, according to statement by the Council’s media office posted on its official Facebook account.

In its statement, the Council affirmed that the Libyans are determined to draw lessons from the loyalty of their ancestors and follow their example in preserving the country’s independence and territorial integrity.

The statement indicated that the founding fathers and grandfathers sacrificed everything in order for the flag of independence to rise high in the sky of the homeland.
