“Health Convoy” of inpatient pilgrims arrives at Holy Sites

The “Health” convoy, which caters to inpatient pilgrims, has arrived at Jabal Al-Rahma Hospital in Arafat from Madinah hospitals. The convoy aims to treat patients so that they can perform the Hajj rituals for the year 1444 AH.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Public Health, Dr. Hani Jokhdar, explained that the dispatch process occurs annually through the “Health Convoy” program, which has prepared and diagnosed a total of 16 inpatient pilgrims for transportation from Madinah to the holy sites using 27 ambulances.

Dr. Jokhdar added that “Today and tomorrow, the process of transferring the pilgrims who are hospitalized in Jeddah to the hospitals of Arafat will be completed, and on the 9th day, the pilgrims who are hospitalized in Makkah hospitals will be transferred to Arafat to complete their treatment and perform the rituals of Hajj.”

The convoy consists of a specialized medical team of 83 health practitioners, along with four ambulances stationed on the Hijrah road between Madinah and Makkah, two intensive care ambulances, five support aid vehicles, an integrated oxygen cabin, a mobile first aid station, and a bus to transport the partisans’ escorts.

Every year, the Ministry of Health strives to transfer pilgrims who are hospitalized in Madinah to the holy sites, providing them with necessary medical services in Madinah before completing their treatment in the hospitals of the holy sites, to enable them to perform their Hajj rituals peacefully.
