Head of the Libyan Rescue Team: our duty is to help Syrian brothers in the areas affected by the earthquake

Tripoli – The members of the Libyan Rescue Team, which arrived to help the Syrian Rescue Teams in the recovery operations of the victims of the earthquake that hit Syria last Monday, stressed their readiness for all forms of assistance, and they are carrying out their duty towards the Syrian brothers.

Head of the team ,Abdul Rahman Al-Sabti, who arrived on Saturday with aid plane coming from Tripoli to Damascus International Airport, told the Syrian News Agency, SANA, that the team includes 15 member, and they are from the Scouts and Guides Regiment in Libya, noting that the team accompanied the aid convoy that Sent to help the Syrian brothers.

Al-Sabti explained that the team’s role and his duties is represented in assisting paramedics in rescuing the wounded, recovering corpses, and building special tents in such emergency cases, in addition to the presence of truck drivers and heavy equipment, noting that the Scouts and Guides Regiment has worked since its establishment to train youths to dealing with emergencies resulting from natural disasters and wars, especially saving individuals, confirming the solidarity of the Libyan government and people with the Syrian brothers in this calamity.
