Governor of Central Bank of Libya meets in London Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of England and the Libyan-British Business Council (LBBC).

London, The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya Al Sidiq Al Kabir met in London on Thursday with Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of England David Ramsden and a number of bank managers.

The meeting focused on the consolidation process launched by the Central Bank of Libya, which the Bank of England said it welcomed and prepared to support, as well as the governance and transparency programs adopted by CBL, and benefiting from the experiences of the Bank of England in particular.

The British side welcomed Libya’s accession to the programs to develop the capacity of central banks run by the Central Bank of England.

Meanwhile, the Governor of the Central Bank met with the Libyan-British Business Council LBBC. The meeting discussed facilitating trade, stimulating the economy and the ability of the banking sector to contribute to the return of English companies to resume their business in Libya.
