During meeting with Maltese ambassador, Al Mnefi affirms Council’s commitment to electoral entitlement on set time.

Tripoli, President of the Presidential Council Mohammed Al Mnefi reaffirmed at an audience on Sunday with Malta’s Ambassador to Libya, Charles Saliba Council’s commitment to conducting of the electoral entitlement simultaneously on set time.

The Maltese Ambassador conveyed compliments of the President of Malta, George Villa, to the Presidential Council and the Libyan people. During the meeting, the latest developments in the political situation in Libya, the Mediterranean region and arrangements for elections on December 24th were discussed after the High National Election Commission announced the opening of candidacy.

The President of the Council explained said at the meeting that Libyan-Maltese relations are witnessing remarkable development in all areas, and will work to strengthen them in the interest of the two friendly peoples.

On his part, the Maltese ambassador underscored the deep Libyan-Maltese relations in all fields, praising the continued cooperation between the authorities of the two countries, in order to enhance the opportunities for partnership between the two countries.
