Tripoli, The Special Envoy of the Russian President in the Middle East and African Countries, Deputy Foreign Minister, “Mikhail Bogdanov” affirmed that the Presidential Council in Libya represents the unity of Libya and its three regions, praising its steps aimed at reaching comprehensive national reconciliation.
This came during his meeting today, Sunday, with the President of the Presidential Council, “Mohamed Al-Manfi” in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, on the sidelines of the African Union summit, to discuss the latest developments in the political situation in Libya.
The Special Envoy expressed his support for all steps that lead to convergence of views between the Libyan parties for peace, stability and access to elections, according to what was published by the media office of the President of the Presidential Council.
The Russian President’s special envoy to the Middle East and African countries, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, also valued the efforts of the Presidential Council to unify state institutions, including the military.
In turn, the President of the Presidential Council affirmed the council’s keenness to reach parliamentary and presidential elections, according to a constitutional basis agreed upon by all, and its results accepted by all parties, and the establishment of a comprehensive national political, social and economic reconciliation.
