Discussing Aspects Of Direct Decentralized Cooperation And Twinning Between Tunisian And Libyan Municipalities.

Tripoli, The Minister of Local Government of the National Unity Government, Dr. Badr El-Din Al-Toumi, discussed, Monday morning, in his office in Tripoli, with the Tunisian Minister of Housing and Infrastructure and the Acting Minister of Local Affairs and Environment, Kamal Doukh, and the head of the General Authority for Foresight and the Decentralization Process in Tunisia, Al-Munthir Bosnina, aspects of cooperation between the two brotherly countries in the field of local government and coordination in the path of decentralization and those in charge of it between the two countries. The minister also expressed readiness to help Libyan municipalities, legal aspects and technical procedures.

The media office at the Ministry of Local Government stated that aspects of cooperation in the technical fields were also discussed under the direct supervision of the two ministries, after adopting the concept of twinning effectively and activating the current programmes and projects between Wazen, Dahiba, Bin Guerdan and Zalatn.

The minister stressed the need for joint coordination between the two countries and the ministry’s endeavor to benefit from the Tunisian experience in the areas of local government and the decentralization process.
