Crowds of Worshipers Witness Completion of Holy Quran Recitation at Prophet’s Mosque amid Atmosphere of Peace, Tranquility

Madinah: The Prophet’s Mosque witnessed yesterday the completion of the Holy Quran recitation during Tarawih Prayer on the 29th night of Ramadan, amidst an atmosphere of tranquility, peace, and security. Earlier in the day, worshippers gathered in the corridors, yards, roof, and expansion sections of the mosque, with lines extending to nearby roads and areas, to pray and witness this significant event.

The imam of the Prophet’s Mosque, Sheikh Salah Al-Budair, led the worshippers and prayed for the forgiveness of Muslims on this blessed night. The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Holy Mosque and the Prophet’s Holy Mosque, in coordination with other concerned agencies, ensured the full preparation of the Prophet’s Mosque and implemented all necessary arrangements to maintain the safety and comfort of visitors, following the directives of the Kingdom’s leadership in providing comprehensive services to the mosque and its visitors.

The authority meticulously organized the entry and exit of worship
ers and visitors, opening 38 main corridors, 14 subsidiary corridors, and 8 emergency corridors, totaling 60 corridors, along with 38 entrances from parking lots for cars, 18 regular stairs, and 12 electric escalators. Additionally, corridors leading to stairs 15 and 27 were prepared.

Efforts also included managing crowd movement according to a pre-established plan, providing Zamzam water containers, and sterilizing the Prophet’s Mosque, its roof, and courtyards with 85,000 liters of disinfectant. Moreover, 40,000 chairs were provided for the elderly attendees.
