Foreign Ministry and the Parliament confirm the continuation of coordination and consultation to ensure security and stability of Libya

Tripoli – The GNU Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the House of Representatives stressed the need for continued coordination and political consultation to ensure security and stability of Libya, to reach the stage of permanent stability and prosperity.

This came during a meeting held by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Najla Al-Manqoush, yesterday, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Tripoli, with a number of members of the House of Representatives, and they discussed the latest political development in Libya.

According to the SMS page of the Ministry, Al-Manqoush stressed the role of the Ministry in expediting the approval of the constitutional basis, to expedite the holding of presidential and parliamentary elections on democratic and legal basis.

Tripoli Chamber of Commerce ,Industry, and Agriculture hosts meetings of Commerce and Industry Chambers of the Mediterranean countries

Tripoli – Tripoli Chamber of Commerce ,Industry, and Agriculture will host during May, meetings of the General Secretariat of the Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of the Mediterranean countries” ASCAME”.

This was done during the meeting of Chairman of the Management Committee of the Chamber, Anwar Abusta, with the Chairman and members of the General Secretariat of the ASCAME, on the sidelines of the International Conference on the Mediterranean “MIDA WEEK”, held in Barcelona, Spain, in the presence of Vice-Chairman of the Management Committee ,Tayeb Al-Salhi ,and a number of members of the Management Committee.

The participants discussed the role of ASCAME in supporting member chamber of commerce, and ways to enhance the role of Tripoli chamber at the regional and international level, and to provide the necessary support to organize the next session, May 2023, in Tripoli, under the supervision of the Government of National Unity and the Ministry of Economy and Trade.

The Chamber of Commerce seeks through its hosting of the meetings of the chamber of the Mediterranean to encourage foreign companies and investors to participate and learn about the investment opportunities in Libya, and to establish a partnership with the local private sector in different sectors, and to contribute in implementing infrastructure and investment projects, and to support the national economy in Libya.

It’s noteworthy that the ASCAME includes 230 chambers of commerce from 23 countries bordering the Mediterranean basin.

The Presidential Council, the government, the central bank, and the accounting department discuss financial arrangements for the year 2023

Tripoli– Today, Wednesday, the Presidential Council met with the head of the government of national unity, Abdul Hamid Al-Dabaiba, the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, Al-Siddiq Al-Kabeer, and the head of the Audit Bureau, Khaled Shakshak.

The meeting discussed the financial arrangements for the year 2023, the priorities of the third chapter on development for the year 2022, and the controls and treatments, to ensure their approval during the next stage.

The government of national unity said that the meeting was devoted to following up the measures taken for development projects for the year 2022, ensuring transparency of procedures, obtaining approval from the Audit Bureau, and fair distribution of projects.

The government added that the President of the Presidential Council said that this meeting comes due to the necessity of continuous monitoring of government spending in all parts of the state, and work to activate the development section as the most important section of the budget, provided that transparency and fair distribution are ensured.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Ramadan Abu Janah, Designated Minister of Planning Muhammad Al-Zaidani, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Adel Jumaa, Advisor to the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya Mustafa Al-Manea, Director of the Contract Control Department at the Audit Bureau Khaled Hamza, and Director of the Department in the Sovereign Sector Reda Qarqab.

Dabaiba stresses the need to complete the stalled housing projects in all municipalities.

TripoliThe head of the government of national unity, “Abdul Hamid Al-Dabiba,” stressed the need to complete the stalled projects and give them priority in the Ministry of Housing’s plan, and to address the basic problems in the municipalities.

This came during the expanded meeting held by “Al-Dabaiba” this afternoon with the Minister of Housing and Construction “Abu Bakr Al-Ghawi” and the head of the Housing and Utilities Projects Implementation Agency “Mahmoud Ajaj” to follow up and discuss the implementation of the utility projects plan for the year 2023.

During the meeting, Al-Dabaiba stressed the need to focus on water and sanitation projects, and to give them priority due to the importance of these services to citizens, in addition to developing a clear plan of action to start implementing the Third Ring Road after providing the value of the project for its importance.

He also stressed the need to ensure a fair distribution of water and sanitation projects in all regions of Libya, the most important of which is the water supply project in Derna.

For his part, the head of the Housing and Utilities Projects Implementation Agency gave a detailed presentation of the agency’s plan, which aims to implement (383) projects from the development allocations for the fiscal year 2022, complete ongoing projects, and solve the main bottlenecks in municipalities.

The meeting, which was attended by the directors of the technical departments of the agency, reviewed the executive procedures for a number of projects, the most important of which are the third ring road project, the Sebha sewage treatment plant, and the construction of 4 bridges in Benghazi, after covering the financial allocations for the projects.

Oil production reaches one million and 209 thousand barrels per day

Tripoli – The National Oil Corporation (NOC) announced yesterday that crude oil production has reached one million and 209 thousand barrels per day.

The NOC added on its SMS page that the production of condensate amounted to “47” thousand barrels during the last 24 hours, while the last production of condensate announced by the NOC was 57 thousand barrels.
