Ministry of Economy launches platform to business, trade and investment.

Tripoli, The Private Sector Development and Investment Department at the Ministry of Economy launched a procedures platform in partnership with the General Information Authority and a number of international partners.

The platform provides information and data related to the completion of all procedures in the fields of business, trade and investment, and helps business owners and commercial activities to learn about the laws and regulations of the mentioned journals, as well as the competent authorities in this regard and the documents required to complete the procedures.

Chairman of NOC discusses with Steering Council of Mizda needs of the municipal council.

Tripoli, The Chairman of the Board of National Oil Corporation Mustafa Sun’Allah yesterday received, at the NOC headquarters in Tripoli, members of the Steering Council of the Municipality of Mizda, head of the Al Tahadi Sports Club in Mizda and some members of the club, in the presence of the director of the NOC Department of Sustainable Development Mokhtar Abdel Al Dayem.

Bottlenecks faced by the municipal council were discussed at the meeting as well as possible NOC contribution to the execution of service projects, to provide basic needs for the municipality, sports clubs and for young people to engage in sports activity more broadly and to stay away from any negative activity.

Members of the steering council presented Mizda Daraa to the Chairman of the Board of the NOC Mustafa Sun’Allah) in recognition for the efforts of the Corporation contribution to solving the bottlenecks in the municipality of Mizda.

Libyan-Italian Joint Committee agrees to resume the coastal road project.

Tripoli, The Libyan-Italian Joint Committee agreed Wednesday to invite companies to bid in the tender for Section 4 of Libya’s coastal road project, which runs from Misrata to the Ras Ajdir border crossing.

The Italian Embassy in Libya said in a tweet that the Joint Commission confirmed its commitment to reach another agreement with the coalition of companies concerned with Section 1 of the project from the Amsaed border crossing to the city of Al Marj, in order to start work as soon as possible.

According to the Italian Embassy, the move by the Libyan-Italian Joint Committee confirms the two countries’ determination to execute strategically important infrastructure work, which was stipulated for in the Treaty of Friendship, Partnership and Cooperation between Libya and Italy, signed in 2008.

The Communications and Informatics Authority discusses prospects for joint cooperation with Malta in the field of training, networks and systems management.

Tripoli, A meeting was held at the headquarters of the General Authority for Communications and Informatics in Tripoli today, Tuesday, to discuss prospects for joint cooperation in the telecommunications sector with the Republic of Malta.

The meeting, which included – the Director General of the Authority and the Director of the Economic Office of the Maltese Embassy in Libya. And a number of directors of departments and officials – discussed cooperation between the two sides in the field of training,

The meeting concluded that the initial agreement was reached to prepare an agreement for cooperation between the two sides, preparation for granting training opportunities to the technical departments of networks and management of organization, and coordination to present and activate the training plan for the years 2022/2023,

Minister of Industry and Minerals discusses with his Egyptian counterpart mechanism of starting a practical program for Egyptian investors to enter Libya.

Cairo, Minister of Industry and Minerals Ahmed Abu Hisa discussed with his Egyptian counterpart, Nevin Jami mechanism for starting a practical program for entry of Egyptian investors into Libya, especially in the industrial and mining sectors.

This came during a visit by Abu Hisa to Egypt, to explore the Egyptian experience in the field of investing in industrial zones and benefiting from economic expertise and progress of work in a number of major Egyptian factories, according to the official page of the Ministry.

The visit is part of a prior agreement with the high-level Egyptian delegation that visited Libya last Ramadan, as well as during the Libyan government delegation’s visit to Egypt in the past period, to sign a number of agreements between the two sides, including industrial agreements. Abu Hisa seeks through the visit to Egypt to implement the ministry’s plans towards creating an industrial integration with neighboring countries, and spatial development internally and providing jobs for young people.

Governor of Central Bank of Libya and his Deputy agree on process of effectively unifying the Central Bank of Libya.

Tripoli, The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, Al Siddiq Al Kabir, and his deputy Ali Salem Al Habri agreed on Monday to launch a process of effectively unifying the Central Bank of Libya, affirming their commitment to continue progress to achieve the goals desired by the unification of the bank.

Bank sources said that the meeting, which they described as the most important step to unite the bank, was agreed on the course of work and technical teams involved in the implementation of the unification process.

The sources added that the meeting also discussed how to agree on a detailed plan to launch the process of unifying the central bank and the stages of unification in accordance with the roadmap proposed by the international professional services company “Deloitte” during the completion of the international financial audit of the central bank last July.
