Foreign Minister Embarks on Official Visit to Pakistan Leading High-Level Delegation

Islamabad: Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah arrived in Pakistan on Monday, heading a high-level delegation from the Kingdom.

Upon his arrival, Pakistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ishaq Dar, welcomed Prince Faisal.

The high-level delegation includes the Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture Abdulrahman Al-Fadley, the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Al-Khorayef, the Advisor to the Royal Court Mohammad Al-Tuwaijri, and the Assistant Minister of Investment Ibrahim Al-Mubarak.

Additionally, senior officials from the Ministry of Energy, the Public Investment Fund (PIF), and the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) are participating in the delegation.

During the visit, the delegation will discuss opportunities with the Pakistani government to enhance and expand cooperation between the two countries across various sectors, in line with the shared aspirations of their leaderships.

HM the King prays the Almighty to grant full success to Talbi Alami to continue to work seriously, with all the members of the House of Representatives, so that the Lower House fully carries out its legislative, control and evaluation duties, in perfect synergy with the House of Councilors, and strengthens its contribution, with a high sense of responsibility and constructive consensus by making the general interest prevail, to implement major reform projects and development projects launched by the Sovereign, defend the interests and just causes of the Nation, serve citizens and moralize parliamentary life in order to consolidate trust in elected institutions.

Chief of Public Security chairs National Emergency Management Committee meeting


Manama, Lieutenant General Tariq Al Hassan, the Chief of Public Security, chaired an extraordinary meeting of the National Civil Emergency Management Committee.

Members representing concerned ministries and authorities attended the meeting to inspect preparedness for expected unstable weather.

The Chief highlighted the instructions of General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Civil Defence Council, to ensure readiness of concerned authorities in dealing with the impact of heavy rainfall.

The committee emphasised the implementation of a comprehensive strategy to address unstable weather patterns, which included launching an awareness campaign by disseminating essential safety guidelines to the public.

Lt. Gen. Al Hassan highlighted the efforts of the relevant ministries and authorities in setting proactive measures to address the rain. This approach aims to prevent any potential obstacles that might hinder the implementation of the primary plans.

He said that
concerned authorities would deploy heavily to promptly respond to emergencies, and citizens and residents could seek assistance via the emergency hotline (999).

The response teams are prepared with the required equipment, pumps, and vehicles to handle any cases, rescue operations, and assistance.

At the end of the meeting, the committee affirmed the significance of the public being aware of heavy rain and high wind instructions by visiting the National Civil Protection Platform. It also called for caution, seeking information from official sources, and following instructions of specialised authorities for the safety of all.

Dr. Abu Lahoum inspects number of projects in Taiz Governorate


Deputy Prime Minister of the Caretaker Government for Economic Affairs – Minister of Finance, Dr. Rashid Abu Lahoum, was briefed on the level of achievement in constructing the main streets in the sixth and seventh sectors of Taiziyah District in Taiz Governorate.

The Deputy Prime Minister urged the need to intensify work on the project, which is being implemented based on the directives of the Chairman of the Supreme Political Council, Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, to pay attention to sound urban planning in a way that serves the community and prevents slums.

Dr. Abu Lahoum, along with the Acting Governor of Taiz, Ahmed Al-Masawy, was also briefed on the level of completion in paving September 21st Street and the rest of the streets currently being paved with funding from the local authority in the governorate.

He inspected the progress of work at the Water Corporation’s solar energy station, which will cover nine wells in Ta’aziyah District, with funding from UNICEF, praising the level of achievement at the s
tation.

In addition, Dr. Abu Lahm and Al-Masawa reviewed the level of implementation of water projects in a number of districts that are being implemented with funding from the Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit of the Ministry of Finance.

They inspected the construction projects for neighborhood units in Dimnat Khadir District, and the level of achievement in the restoration and rehabilitation of Al-Hawban Al-Rahida Road, which is implemented by the Roads Corporation funded by the Road Maintenance Fund, in implementation of the directives of the President of the Supreme Political Council during his visit to the governorate.

Dr. Abu Lahoum discussed with the leadership of the local authority in the governorate the level of implementation of community initiatives, and a specific mechanism was agreed upon to follow up, facilitate and overcome any difficulties facing the implementation of the initiatives.

9 Injured in Israeli Shelling in South of Lebanon

Beirut, The Lebanese National News Agency reported that nine Lebanese were injured as a result of Israeli shelling a house in the town of Seddiqine in southern Lebanon, leading to its complete destruction.

Israeli warplanes also conducted mock raids over villages in the district of Sidon and along the coast, and launched photoflash bombs over border villages adjacent to the Blue Line.

Israeli warplanes had launched an airstrike last night with several rockets targeting the area between the towns of Bint Jbeil and Maroun al-Ras.

Furthermore, the Israeli entity intensified its airstrikes on villages and towns in southern Lebanon. Field sources informed Qatar News Agency that Israeli warplanes carried out a series of missile airstrikes targeting the town of Dhahira and its outskirts, the area of Labouna, southern Naqoura town, and the town of Ayta ash Shab. The airstrikes coincided with artillery and phosphorus shelling targeting the outskirts of Dhahira and Aita ash Shab.

The Israeli entity continues to esc
alate its aggression against towns and villages in southern Lebanon, in parallel with its heinous and ongoing aggression on the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7, resulting in casualties and injuries among civilians and forcing hundreds of families to flee their homes.

Hajjah governor reviews level of job discipline in number of offices


Governor of Hajjah Hilal al-Sufi on Monday reviewed the level of discipline in a number of executive offices and branches of bodies and institutions.

Al-Sufi inspected the progress of work at the General Telecommunications Corporation and listened to an explanation from the Director of the Corporation’s branch Eng. Sami al-Khatib over the level of commitment of employees and the activities and programs implemented during the last period.

He praised the discipline of institution’s leadership and cadres, their sense of responsibility, and the efforts made in implementing the directives and circulars issued, raising the level of performance, and developing the services provided to citizens.

Governor al-Sufi was also briefed on the level of discipline and work progress in the Public Works and Roads offices and the Endowments and Zakat bodies based on attendance and work hours.

He stressed the necessity of adhering to working hours, avoiding negative aspects, and completing work and transactions with citizens.

The governor stressed that there should be no complacency in taking the necessary measures against those who neglect the official working hours.
