Tripoli, Today, Thursday, the Ministry of Interior in the Government of National Unity discussed security preparations to secure the conference of Arab foreign ministers to be held during the next two days in the capital, Tripoli.

This came during the expanded meeting held by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for District Affairs, Major General Bashir Al-Amin, today, Thursday, with directors of departments and representatives of the relevant ministries and all security components, according to what the ministry published on its official Facebook page.

The meeting dealt with the insurance and protection plan and everything related to preparations and preparations, in addition to the formation of a security room that works to facilitate coordination and communication mechanisms for the success of this important event.

Tripoli- Representative in the Presidential Council, “Abdullah Al-Lafi,” discussed this morning, Wednesday, with the Italian Ambassador to Libya, “Giuseppe Botino Grimaldi,” the latest developments in the political process in Libya.

This came during the meeting held between them at the Presidential Council office in Tripoli, and dealt with the developments of the Libyan political scene, as well as the conclusions of the preparatory forum for national reconciliation, which was held during the past week, with the participation of representatives of all political parties.

The Presidential Media Office stated that the Italian ambassador praised during the meeting the efforts of the Presidential Council in the file of national reconciliation, considering that the preparatory forum for the inclusive conference was an important and successful step for the Presidential Council, reaffirming his country’s support for all efforts supporting stability in Libya, leading to the elections.

Al-Kabeer reviews with the Algerian ambassador the Central Bank’s efforts to raise disclosure and transparency rates

Tripoli, — The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, “Al-Siddik Al-Kabeer”, met today, Wednesday, the Algerian Ambassador to Libya, “Suleiman Chenine”.

The media office of the bank stated that during the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on many issues and reviewed the Central Bank’s efforts to raise disclosure and transparency rates.

The office added that the Algerian ambassador praised the effective role of the Central Bank of Libya at this stage, its independence and impartiality in a way that serves the public interest.

The United Nations Development Program and the Spanish government sign an agreement to support the electoral process in Libya

Tripoli, — Today, Wednesday, in Tripoli, the High National Elections Commission signed an agreement to support the electoral process in Libya, the (PEPOL) project.

The signing of the agreement was attended by the Chairman of the High Electoral Commission, Imad Al-Sayeh, and a number of experts and directors of departments and sections of the Commission.

The agreement aims to provide technical and advisory support for the electoral process, which is supervised by the United Nations Mission

The agreement was signed on behalf of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) “Marc-Andre Franch”, and on behalf of the Spanish government, the Spanish ambassador to Libya “Javier Larache”.

Benghazi – The Chargé d’Affairs of the US Embassy to Libya, Leslie Ordeman, expressed his honor, yesterday, to visit the tomb of Omar Mukhtar, in Benghazi, on the sidelines of his visit to the city.

Ordeman described on his Twitter, Omar Al-Mukhtar ,as the Lion of the Desert, who defended the sovereignty of Libya against foreign forces.

“Omar Al-Mukhtar remains a symbol of Libyan unity and national pride, his legacy of bringing together Libyans to work in harmony for freedom will always be remembered,” he added.

Migrant Shelter Center in Sirte deports 50 migrants of African nationalities

Sirte -Illegal Migrant Shelter Center ,in Sirte, in cooperation with security services delivered 50 illegal immigrants of different nationalities, Niger, Chad, Sudan, Egypt, and South Africa, to the Office of the Anti-Illegal Immigration Agency, Tripoli.

The correspondent of the Libyan News Agency stated that the center and the security services, including officers and non-commissioned officers, are determined to solve the problems of this important file inside Sirte, through legal and humanitarian methods.
