Ambassador of Qatar to Nepal to QNA: HH the Amir First Arab Leader to Visit Nepal

Kathmandu: HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Nepal Mishaal bin Mohammad Ali Al Ansari affirmed that the visit of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to Kathmandu earns a special significance since HH the Amir is the first Arab leader to visit this friendly country, highlighting that the visit will take the relations between the two countries to broader horizons.

Speaking to Qatar News Agency , His Excellency said the visit comes following high-level visits from the Nepali side to the State of Qatar, affirming that it will certainly promote the relations between the two countries and broaden their horizons because numerous agreements and memoranda of understanding between the two nations are poised to be signed during this visit to further enhance the existing rock-solid cooperation and open new fields of cooperation.

The visit of HH the Amir represents a milestone in the bilateral relations that will hopefully lay the groundwork for a fresh start and explore broader cooperation fields. Also, th
ere is a great optimism about the fact that the visit will result in a lot of goodness to reinforce relationships and bilateral cooperation between the two nations and their peoples, HE Al Ansari added.

Established in 1977, the diplomatic relations between the two countries were based on mutual respect, friendship and cooperation and have been constantly evolving, HE the Ambassador pointed out, highlighting that the visit of HH the Amir is a testament to the depth of these relationships that have been advancing in the past years.

His Excellency talked about the most important fields of cooperation between the two countries that will have foremost priority in the current time, indicating that they are open to multiple horizons, primarily the labor field which is significantly prioritized by Nepal, particularly at the training and rehabilitation levels to ensure the flow of talented workers to the State of Qatar as one of the most important destinations for the Nepali workers, along with cooperation in a vari
ety of fields, such as sports, tourism and investment.

HE Mishaal bin Mohammad Ali Al Ansari added that many agreements and memoranda of understanding are expected to be signed during the visit of HH the Amir that patently encompass the fields of education, youth, sports, culture, et al.

Regarding economic cooperation, he highlighted that preparations are afoot to prepare agreements with respect to investment and protection for the Qatari investment to push the economic relationships forward and ultimately upgrade the economic cooperation to the superb level that keeps up with the ironclad friendship ties between the two nations.

In conclusion, HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Nepal Mishaal bin Mohammad Ali Al Ansari underlined that he is confident that the visit of HH the Amir will open new horizons of cooperation not only with Nepal but with the entire South Asia region to generate benefits for the peoples of the region.
