Al Mangoush and Italian Foreign Minister’s Special Envoy for Libya stress need to appoint new Representative of UN Secretary-General to speed up the political process and elections

Tripoli-The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Government of National Unity Najla Al Mangoush and the Special Envoy of the Italian Foreign Minister to Libya Nicola Orlando agreed on the need to resolve all differences, reject unilateral destabilizing measures and maintain calm in Libya.

This came during the telephone conversation that Al Mangoush had with the Special Envoy of the Italian Foreign Minister to Libya, Nicola Orlando, during which they discussed the latest developments in the political situation in Libya.

According the Ministry of Foreign Affairs SMS page, two sides stressed the urgent need to appoint a new representative of the UN Secretary-General to accelerate the political process and reach a constitutional basis that paves the way for the holding of elections.

For her part, Al-Mangoush expressed her appreciation of role of supporting stability in Libya, and the international position in support of the elections as the only solution to the crisis in the country.
