Al-Lafi receives the US ambassador and its special envoy to Libya.

Tripoli, The Vice-President of the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, received today, Thursday, the Ambassador of the United States of America to Libya, Mr. Nicholas Richard, its envoy to Libya, and the Deputy Chief of Mission of the United States Embassy, Mr. Leslie Ordman, on the sidelines of the ministerial conference for “Supporting the Stability of Libya” initiative, which began this morning in the capital, Tripoli.

During the meeting, Richard and Ordman expressed their happiness for holding the conference today in Tripoli, with representatives of more than 31 countries, confirming their desire to ensure support for Libya’s stability, and to hold elections on time.

The US delegation affirmed its country’s continued support for the political road map in Libya, which contributes to the stability of Libya, and the conduct of the electoral elections on time, and its confidence in the role played by the Presidential Council for the stability of Libya during this difficult time.

For his part, Al-Lafi praised America’s participation in the great forum supporting the stability of Libya, and an effective supporter of the political process in Libya, and a great glimmer of hope that contributes to holding the elections that the Libyan people aspire to.
