(Al-Dabaiba) is following up the projects of maintaining and developing the fields of the Man-Made River wells

Tripoli– Today, Sunday, the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hameed al-Dabiba, followed up the plan of the Man-made River Authority to maintain idle wells in the fields of wells in Jabal al-Hasawneh, and to develop production in the Sarir and Tazerbu fields.

This came during Al-Dabaiba’s meeting with the Administrative Committee of the Executive Body of the Man-Made River Project, which was attended by the Head of the Housing and Utilities Projects Implementation Agency and the Management Committee of the General Water Company.

The meeting reviewed the plan of the executive body of the Man-Made River Project regarding the maintenance of (147) idle wells in the well fields in Jabal Al-Hasawneh, as well as the follow-up of the implementation of the water supply project (Ghadames – Zuwara – Al-Zawiya), which is scheduled to feed more than (27) cities and regions in western Libya.

The meeting also followed up the production of well fields in the Sarir and Tazirbu regions, through which the water supply will be increased to 2 million cubic meters per day compared to the current amount of 1.1 million cubic meters.

The meeting reviewed the security plan implemented by the Law Enforcement Department in coordination with the agency, which contributed to limiting abuses and malfunctions in the Man-Made River system.

At the end of the meeting, it was agreed to hold another meeting to present the plan of the executive body for the Man-Made River project, in the presence of the relevant authorities, and to adopt the work plan for the year 2023.
