African Affairs Department Holds Virtual Meeting with Heads of Mission in African Continent.

Tripoli, The Foreign Ministry African Affairs Department has held first virtual meeting with heads of mission in the African continent.

Libyan embassies in the African continent in particular and other regions in general are the main instrument for success of the Libyan foreign policy, through joining of efforts, and they are the guardian and the voice of the state abroad, the Director of the African Department Fateh Bsheina said.

Bsheina said the meeting aimed to coordinate and liaise with the heads of mission to preserve the interests of Libya, its existence and active engagement in the countries they were accredited in.

The embassies will be backed up, and the challenges facing them overcome, he said.

He stressed the importance the Ministry of Foreign Affairs gives to the African continent, and the need for the missions to play their role there.
