Tripoli, The Acting Head of the Government of National Unity Ramadan Abu Jnah discussed, at an extended meeting on Sunday, with Minister of Health Ali Al-Zanati, the Corona pandemic mutated “Omicron” .
The meeting, which included the Undersecretary of the Ministry, the Director of the National Center for Disease Control NCDC, the Chairman of the Vaccination Committee and the President of the Federation of Private Clinics, discussed preventive precautions to confront the Coronavirus in light of the emergency of a new mutation of the Corona pandemic, and consideration of readiness of isolation centers and the state of readiness for any emergency in the epidemiological situation.
The Acting Head of the Government stressed the need to unite efforts to provide basic health services and put in place the necessary controls to determine the relationship between medical centers and public hospitals. He also discussed the supply of the necessary equipment to isolation centers urgently.
The meeting agreed to provide full support to the National Center for Disease Control, and to provide rapid swab tests within a maximum of two weeks and to provide them at land and air ports, in order to detect suspected cases among incoming passengers. It was also agreed to hold an expanded meeting of the Ministry of Education, Interior and Economy, Endowments and Islamic Affairs next week to work out a precautionary program, as well as an integrated plan to overcome the crisis.
