5.2 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Southern Mexico

An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale struck today, the state of Guerrero, southern Mexico.

According to the US Geological Survey (USGS), the epicenter of the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 km. There have been no initial reports of damage or casualties as a result of the earthquake.

On the fourth of this month, an earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale struck today, the state of Oaxaca, southern Mexico.

The last strong earthquake in Mexico dates back to September 2017, when it struck the capital, Mexico City, and the neighboring states of Murillo and Puebla, killing 370 people.
