Kuwait Amir leaves to Saudi Arabia


Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, Amir of Kuwait, is scheduled to depart, along with an official delegation, on Sunday heading to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.

His Highness the Amir will head the State of Kuwait’s delegation partaking in the international economic forum, themed “Global cooperation, growth and energy for development.”

Minister of Tourism Sparks Mutual Endeavors with Monaco Delegation to Boost Tourism Initiatives


Manama, Fatima Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism, convened a meeting with a delegation from the Principality of Monaco to discuss enhancing collaboration in the tourism and hospitality sectors and fostering stronger partnerships. The aim was to leverage shared experiences and exchange insights to bolster the tourism industry in both nations.

At the beginning of the meeting, HE the Minister provided the delegation with an overview of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s tourism strategy for 2022-2026. This strategy is designed to double the tourism sector’s contribution to the GDP, diversify the tourism product, and attract a more diverse range of tourists.

Her Excellency also presented the latest statistics and developments in the kingdom’s tourism sector, highlighting key attractions and destinations, and outlined the Ministry of Tourism and Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority’s efforts in enhancing tourism infrastructure, boosting the number of hotels and hospitality establishments, and enhancing visitor experien
ces.

During the meeting, the Minister of Tourism reaffirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitment to supporting all initiatives aimed at accelerating the growth and recovery of the global tourism sector, and enhancing its performance across all fronts, and highlighted BTEA’sefforts in collaborating with various regional and international bodies and institutions involved in tourism, travel, culture, and entertainment to foster the development of the tourism industry at local, regional, and global levels.

The discussion during the meeting revolved around several key topics, including the exchange of knowledge and experiences in tourism and hospitality, the promotion of tourism marketing efforts in both nations, and the enhancement of tourism services, infrastructure, and logistics.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Her Excellency Fatima Al Sairafi conveyed the readiness of the Ministry of Tourism and the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority to forge enduring relationships with travel and tourism agencies,
as well as official entities, involved in tourism in the Principality of Monaco, Furthermore, Her Excellency pledged to furnish the delegation with comprehensive information regarding available investment opportunities within the tourism sector, and underscored the commitment to fostering and expanding communication channels and partnerships with the Monaco to bolster bilateral efforts aimed at propelling the growth trajectory of the tourism sector and its ancillary industries in both nations.

The Monaco delegation, on their part, expressed their utmost satisfaction in solidifying tourism connections with the Kingdom of Bahrain, underlining their enthusiasm for furthering tourism cooperation and jointly crafting strategic plans for the industry.

Manama, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today sent a cable of condolences to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, following the passing of His Royal Highness Prince Badr bin Abdul Mohsen bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister sent a similar cable to His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia.

Gulf Air announces resumption of its flights to Iraq


Manama, Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, announced the resumption of its flights between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Iraq.

On this occasion, the Chairman of Gulf Air Group, Mr. Zayed R. Alzayani welcomed the resumption of Gulf Air’s direct flights between Bahrain and Iraq, stressing the significance of this development in terms of the airline’s network expansion.

Gulf Air’s first flight to the Republic of Iraq commenced in 1974, with flights to the Iraqi cities of Baghdad, Najaf, and Erbil. Flights were suspended amidst the coronavirus pandemic in 2020.

The flight schedule and frequencies will be announced after the completion of all official procedures.

Bahrain condemns drone terrorist attack on gas field in Iraqi Kurdistan


Manama, The Kingdom of Bahrain has strongly condemned and denounced the heinous terrorist attack using a bomb-laden drone on the Khor More gas field in the Kurdistan region in the north of the Republic of Iraq, which resulted in the death and injury of a number of innocent civilians, including workers from the Republic of Yemen.

In a statement, the Foreign Affairs Ministry affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s unequivocal position in its solidarity with the Republic of Iraq in its war against terrorism, and its support for the measures it deems necessary to preserve its security, stability, unity and territorial integrity.

It further expressed its sincere condolences and sympathy to the brotherly Yemeni government and people and to the families of the victims, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.
