KSrelief Distributes 132 Shelter Bags in Sudan


Northern State, Sudan, The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) distributed Friday 132 shelter bags to the neediest families in Merowe, the Northern State, Sudan.

This assistance, from which 760 individuals benefited, is part of Saudi Arabia’s humanitarian aid and relief projects, carried out by KSrelief, to help the Sudanese people.

This comes within the relief and humanitarian projects provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through KSrelief to many needy and affected countries and peoples.

KSrelief Distributes 1,429 Food Baskets in Ethiopia.


Addis Ababa, The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) distributed yesterday 1,429 food baskets to the neediest families in the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, benefiting 8,874 individuals. The aid is part of the “Etaam” Ramadan food distribution project in Ethiopia in 1445 AH.

This comes within the framework of the relief efforts exerted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by KSrelief to help the peoples and countries in need everywhere in the world.

Al Dhale, King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) distributed yesterday 250 winter bags in Al Dhale Governorate, Yemen, benefiting 1,383 individuals from 250 families.

This comes within the framework of relief and humanitarian projects provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through KSrelief to alleviate the suffering of Yemeni People as a result of the humanitarian crisis they are experiencing.

Qatar Organizes Meeting on Sport for the Promotion of Peaceful and Inclusive Societies in UN

New York, The Permanent Mission of the State of Qatar to the United Nations (UN), in cooperation with the Permanent Mission of the Principality of Monaco to the United Nations, along with the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs and the UN Department of Global Communications (DGC) organized a meeting on Sport for the Promotion of Peaceful and Inclusive Societies, held in the UN’s headquarter in New York, as part of the State of Qatar co-chairing the Group of Friends of Sport for Development and Peace.

A number of officials concerned with the matter participated in the meeting, including the Communications and Media Executive Director at the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy Fatma Al Nuaimi, Generation Amazing Foundation Executive Director Nasser Al Khori, Director of the Outreach Division in the DGC Maher Nasser, Under-Secretary-General for Global Communications Melissa Fleming, and Director of Development at the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONC
ACAF) Jason Roberts.

In her talk, Communications and Media Executive Director at the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy Fatma Al Nuaimi focused on the role of sport in promoting understanding and cultural exchange and dispelling stereotypes. Al Nuaimi stressed that the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 ?and its legacy programs built bridges between East and West, as well as projected a positive image of the Arab region and the capabilities of its people.

Moreover, Al Nuaimi discussed the State of Qatar’s preparations to host the historic World Cup edition, detailing the organizers’ efforts to ensure maximum benefit from the tournament and leaving a positive and sustainable legacy that contributes to achieving the Qatar National Vision 2030 for the benefit of future generations.

For his part, Generation Amazing Foundation Executive Director Nasser Al Khori said that the Foundation supports both individuals and communities through its innovative programs relating to football, which provide participants with f
undamental skills such as teamwork. Al Khori also addressed a number of important issues, among them gender inequality in various fields.

Al Khori added that since its inception, Generation Amazing has been able to reach 75 countries and support more than a million children worldwide, underscoring the Foundation’s current efforts in providing psychological and social support through sports for Palestinians evacuated from the Gaza Strip to the State of Qatar.

Furthermore, the Generation Amazing Foundation Executive Director highlighted the strategic partnership with CONCACAF, indicating that the partnership extends the legacy of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 to the FIFA World Cup 26 to be held in Canada, the US, and Mexico.

He added that the program is a football for development initiative that aids young people make positive changes in their communities.

International Camel Federation to Participate in SportAccord World Summit in England


Riyadh: April 07, 2024, SPA– The International Camel Racing Federation (ICRF) will take part in the SportAccord World Sport and Business 2024 Summit in Birmingham, England, from April 7-11, 2024, with the goal of promoting camel racing globally.

This summit is a major gathering, drawing over 1,500 leaders from international sports federations, including representatives from the International Olympic Committee.

The president of the ICRF, Prince Fahd bin Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed, expressed the federation’s enthusiasm for participating in this significant international event. He underscored the ICRF’s mission of showcasing camel racing to the world as a fundamental aspect of Arab culture and heritage, with the aim of expanding the sport’s global footprint.

The ICRF’s participation underscores camel racing’s profound roots in Arab society, where it has been a traditional sport for centuries.
