The US Ambassador and Special Envoy to Libya, Richard Norland, expressed his country’s appreciation for Libya’s support for efforts to stop the fighting in neighboring Sudan.

“Norland” said in a tweet published by the US Embassy in Libya on its account on the (Twitter) network. “In my meeting with the Libyan Foreign Minister, Mangoush, I expressed our appreciation for Libya’s support for efforts to stop the fighting in neighboring Sudan, and reaffirmed the United States’ commitment to work with international partners to support the envoy’s efforts. Secretary-General of the United Nations Batili’s Special Special Conference on Facilitating Successful Elections in Libya.”

Mumtalakat acquires senior preference shareholders’ stakes in McLaren

Transportation Minister meets with Turkish Aerospace Industries CEO

Mohammed bin Thamer Al Kaabi, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, met with Temel Kotil, CEO of Turkish Aerospace Industries, during Le Bourget Air Show in France.

The meeting discussed Bahraini-Turkish partnership and opportunities to enhance it by participating in the Bahrain International Airshow 2024.

Yousif Mohammed Mahmoud, Director of the Bahrain International Airshow (BIA), attended the meeting.

Winners of Arab Reading Challenge qualifications honoured

Winners of the 7th Arab Reading Challenge qualifications (Bahrain chapter) have been honoured.

Education Minister Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma patronized the ceremony which was also attended Executive Director Dr. Abdulkarim Sultan Al Olama, Execitive Director of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, UAE Deputy Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain Mansour Al-Juwaid and other officials attended.

Addressing the ceremony, the minister hailed fruitful cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and UAE President HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

He noted that more than 134,000 students from 252 public and private scools took part in the reading contests, of whom 9,300 succeeded in the initial qualifications phase.

He congratulated the winners, thanking all those who have contributed to the organization of the qualifications wishing students continued success to honour their country.

UAE Deputy Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain Mansour Al-Juwaid praised Bahrain’s effective participation in the event, which reflects successful and fruitful cooperation between both countries.
