Supreme Court Calls for Observing the Sunset on the 29th of Dhul-Qaeda 1444 H, to Corroborate the Advent of Dhul Hijjah

The Supreme Court has called on Muslims throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to be on the lookout for the sunset of the 29th of Dhul-Qaeda 1444 H, which falls tomorrow, Sunday, June 18, 2023, to announce the advent of the crescent of the month of Dhul-Hijjah 1444H.

The court urged whoever sights the crescent of the month of Dhul-Hijjah 1444 H to report to the nearest court.

KSrelief Supervisor General Meets with Director of Elcano Royal Institute in Madrid

Advisor at the Royal Court and Supervisor General of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah met here with Director of Royal Institute for International and Strategic Studies (Elcano Royal Institute) Charles Powell and with Senior Analyst at the institute Haizam Amirah Fernandez, on the sidelines of the “Global Vaccine Impact Conference: Raising Generation ImmUnity” conference.

Saudi Ambassador to Spain Azzam bin Abdul Karim Al-Qain also attended the conference.

Dr. Al Rabeeah reviewed the humanitarian and relief projects and programs implemented by the KSrelief, which amount to 2,402 in 92 countries worldwide, with a total value of $6,248 billion.

He said that KSrelief was established upon the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in 2015 to be the humanitarian arm of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia abroad, adding that the center bases its charitable work on lofty humanitarian goals.

Such goals, Dr. Al Rabeeah said, are to provide aid to the needy and relief to those afflicted anywhere in the world, without discrimination, based on an accurate monitoring mechanism and using advanced, fast transportation methods.

The Elcano Royal Institute director commended the outstanding performance of KSrelief and its immense contributions in the field of humanitarian work, adding that it is important that the center participates in the conference on the global impact of the vaccine.

The two sides also tackled issues related to humanitarian and relief affairs, and discussed the topics included in the conference agenda.

Six International Languages Used to Measure the Satisfaction of Pilgrims at the Grand Mosque

The General Administration of Statistics at the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has intensified its work that gauges the satisfaction of visitors and pilgrims at the Grand Mosque by providing field services through 75 QR codes offered in six international languages distributed over five main stations, according to the journey of the pilgrims, it was reported today.

Director of the General Administration of Statistics Issa bin Safran Al-Hudhali said that the authority measures, besides the level of services, the beneficiaries’ perception of services, as expressed on social networking sites.

Highlighting the efforts exerted by his administration, Al-Hudhali said that the administration analyzes data and numbers collected from several sources, including statistical surveys, departmental statistics and service indicators, and converts them into information for future use.

He pointed out that the administration’s staff is distributed throughout the holy mosque to assess the pilgrims’ and visitors’ satisfaction with the services provided through questionnaires and panels with QR codes distributed in the corners of the Kaaba to make it easier for pilgrims to express their views.

Random samples are also taken on all circumambulation (Tawaf) floors to serve the statistical survey process; the aim is also to measure the duration of Tawaf, as well as venues of arrival, and statistical reports are drafted to highlight the services and efforts made at the Grand Mosque.

First Group of Senegalese Pilgrims Arrives in Makkah

Tawafa Company for Non-Arab African Pilgrims received the first group of pilgrims, consisting of 554 people, from the Republic of Senegal, who came to Makkah from Madinah to perform Hajj.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company Dr. Ahmed Abbas Sindi said that, in implementation of the directives of the Kingdom’s wise leadership, the company has worked to harness its energies and deploy its capabilities to fulfil its duty toward the pilgrims.

Dr. Sindi added that in order to achieved its goals, the company adopted an action plan that aims to facilitate procedures, meet the needs and requirements of the pilgrims, and enable them to perform their rituals with ease and convenience, thus enriching their journey.

CEO of the Tawafa Company for Non-Arab African Pilgrims Badr Bafakeeh said that the efforts and services provided to the pilgrims by the public and private sectors help the company, in turn, to offer the best timely services during the Hajj season of 1444 AH. This year’s services are presented in a completely different way than in past years, in accordance with the directives of the wise leadership, Bafakeeh said.

Officials from the Senegalese Hajj Affairs Office expressed gratitude and appreciation to the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for the facilities provided to the pilgrims every year.

HH the Amir’s Visit to Baghdad Highlighted by Iraqi Media -2

Iraqi Newspaper Azzaman highlighted the joint statements by HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HE Prime Minister of the sisterly Republic of Iraq Mohammed Shia Al Sudani at the Prime Minister’s Office during which HH the Amir said that his visit to Baghdad comes to emphasize the depth of consolidated and historical fraternal ties between the two sisterly countries and reflects the two countries’ real desire to promote and consolidate them at various fields. His Highness affirmed that he would work on developing them in energy, investment, trade, and development fields.

The Newspaper highlighted HH the Amir’s confirmation that the two sides have agreed on the importance of constantly growing trade exchange between the two countries, as His Highness pointed out that the two countries signed a joint declaration of intent, alongside many agreements and memoranda of understanding, in addition to signing a number of agreements with private sector in Qatar which included energy, electricity, development of hotels, modern residential buildings and hospitals management in Iraq.

In addition, the Newspaper focused on HH the Amir’s announcement that talks also discussed regional initiatives to promote economic relations among countries of the region, including supporting developing GCC Electricity Interconnection system and linking South Iraq’s network to provide Iraqi needs from electricity, where His Highness outlined that the State of Qatar participates in meetings of Iraq’s development road project.

The Newspaper highlighted His Highness’s emphasis on Iraq’s role and security in the region, and the State of Qatar continued support to the unity and stability of Iraq and to Iraqi people in achieving their aspiration to security and development.

The Newspaper also noted Iraqi Prime Minister’s emphasis on the importance of HH the Amir’s visit to Baghdad which underscores the depth of growing relations between the two sisterly countries, pointing out that Iraq with its natural and human potential and geographical location and the State of Qatar with capabilities it possesses as well as the economic boom Qatar has achieved can together achieve integration in various levels for the benefits of the two peoples.

Azzaman Newspaper also focused on bilateral meeting that was held by HH the Amir and HE Prime Minister of Iraq in which they tackled the overall cooperation ties between the two sisterly countries, in addition to discussing a range of issues of common concern.

For its part, Addustor Newspaper dedicated wide spaces in its overage to the joint statements of HH the Amir and HE Prime Minister of Iraq in which His Highness stressed the importance of security and stability of Iraq, along with His Highness’s emphasis that his visit confirms depth of consolidated, historical and fraternal ties between Qatar and Iraq.

It noted HH the Amir’s announcement that the talks discussed regional initiatives to bolster economic ties among countries of the region, including supporting and developing GCC Electricity Interconnection system and linking South Iraq’s network to provide Iraqi needs from electricity.

On the other hand, Al-Zawra newspaper, published by the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate highlighted the signing of a joint declaration of intent and a number of memoranda of understanding. Saudi Foreign Minister Discusses Enhancing Bilateral Ties with Iranian Counterpart

Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah discussed today in Tehran with his Iranian counterpart Hussein Amir-Abdollahian, ways to develop bilateral relations in various fields.

The two sides held an official session of talks during which they discussed strengthening joint coordination in many regional and international issues of common concern, in a way that achieves security and stability for the region and the world.
