NSSA participates in Space, Global Health Network meeting

The National Space Science Authority (NSSA) participated in the launch of the Space and Global Health Network meeting, at the invitation of the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA).

The meeting is part of the 66th session of the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space Committee, highlighting some of the most prominent international efforts to harness space technologies for peaceful purposes to promote sustainable development.

Commenting on her participation, space Engineer Amina Al Balooshi emphasized that UNOOSA meetings provide a unique opportunity for members to gather and learn about the latest developments in space science technology and applications.

Space Engineer Ali Al Mahmood highlighted NSSA’s efforts to lead Bahrain into the space sector and participate in various international meetings and workshops.

The participants discussed the UK and Switzerland’s efforts to launch space, global health networks, and the IMPLEMENTOME platform. This digital health platform enables users to navigate digital health data and locate different health institutions.

During the meeting, the UK Space Life and Biomedical Sciences Association highlighted its goals of improving communication and cooperation among individuals and institutions involved in research, health care, awareness campaigns, and education in space science, life science, and human spaceflight.
