Old Doha Port Hosts Eid Al Fitr Celebrations

In a statement on Saturday, the Old Doha Port said that several popular bands played many marine folklore songs at the port neighborhood in front of the fish market, in addition to organizing activities for various groups with the participation of entertainment teams throughout the port neighborhood.

The statement added that the show would be organized daily in the evening at the Old Doha Port throughout the Eid days, which brings joy and pleasure to the visitors, especially the children.

Located at the center of the Doha Corniche, the port offers several marine activities, including renting cruises and bikes, and other marine activities.

The port management called on the public to visit the port and enjoy the special activities during the Eid Al Fitr holiday.

Executive Director of the Old Doha Port Mohammed Abdullah Al Mulla said that the Eid activities are a continuation of the activities that began before the month of Ramadan and will continue until the summer vacation. He pointed out that the celebrations are characterized by the popular atmosphere to revive the popular heritage and preserve the marine culture, which is a major part of the Qatari culture and closely related to the history of the port, its location, and the prominent place it occupies in the history of maritime trade, the renaissance of the state, and customs associated with the sea.

Eid Activities Witness Large Public Turnout at Katara

The Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) continued its Eid Al Fitr activities amid a large turnout from the public of different nationalities and age groups.

The activities will continue on Sunday with the play “The World of 2030”, the distribution of Katara Eidi, a gift given to children as part of the Eid celebration, and the musical performance presented by the Police Training Institute.

In a statement on Saturday, Director of the Public Relations and Communications Department Salem Mabkhout Al Marri said that Katara is keen to provide everything that suits the audience of its various interests and groups, noting that the musical performances attracted many visitors, in addition to the play, competitions, and Eidi – the most important event for kids.

He pointed out that Katara with all its facilities and squares has become a destination for families at all times, especially during the holidays, where they find all means of entertainment and comfort from the beach and the hills, in addition to the various restaurants and cafes.

Mellitah Company completes the drilling of oil well No. (FC25) with a production capacity of (7,500) thousand barrels of oil per day.

Mellitah Oil and Gas Company announced the completion of the drilling of oil well No. (FC25), the second for this year, with a production capacity of “7,500” thousand barrels of oil per day, without the presence of associated water.

The Mellitah Company had announced, earlier, the drilling of oil well No. (FC24) on “January 31” in the El Feel field, with a production capacity of about 7,200 barrels per day.

Bahrain marks World Immunization Week

The Kingdom of Bahrain joins the world in celebrating the World Immunization Week, which is observed in the last week of April every year. This year’s theme “The Big Catch-Up” aims to boost awareness of the importance of vaccines and their role in preventing many diseases and protecting the community.

The Kingdom of Bahrain has brought about many accomplishments in this respect thanks to the support and directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. Highly secure and effective vaccines are provided to protect the health and safety of all.

The extended immunization programme in the Kingdom of Bahrain is considered as a main pillar of public health and primary healthcare. Recommended vaccines are administered from birth through routine childhood vaccination and extend to include different age categories like school pupils, women of childbearing age, the elderly, highly vulnerable groups to diseases, health workers and travelers to various travel destinations.

The Kingdom of Bahrain is proud of its achievements in combating communicable diseases and controlling pandemics through vaccination, which has become apparent mainly in fighting Covid-19, thus setting a model to emulate that won the praise of the World Health Organisation (WHO).

High Electoral Commission renews its determination to make the elections a success.

Yesterday, Saturday, the High National Elections Commission extended to all Libyans its sincere congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of the blessed Eid Al-Fitr.

On its Facebook page, the Commission renewed its sincere determination to make the elections planned for this year a success.

The commission also affirmed its tireless work to achieve the elections that the Libyans aspire to, in order to build a secure state based on democracy, and its goals are stability and development.

A Libyan human rights organization expresses its concern about the drowning of illegal immigrants off the shores of Sabratha.

The National Human Rights Committee in Libya expressed its regret over the killing of 17 illegal immigrants after their boat sank off the shores of the city of Sabratha.

The committee added in a publication that the Libyan authorities must assume their responsibilities to combat smuggling and human trafficking gangs, as described.
