Council of Guardianship on the Money of the Minors and their Equivalents holds regular meeting

The Council of Guardianship on the Money of the Minors and their Equivalents, today held its regular meeting, under the chairmanship of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Minister, Nawaf bin Mohammed Al-Maawda.

The minister welcomed the newly-appointed members, expressing thanks and appreciation to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for issuing an edict on restructuring the Council of Guardianship on the Money of the Minors and their Equivalents, including national experts and competencies in various fields.

He expressed deepest thanks and appreciation to the members of the Council in its previous sessions, for their dedicated efforts in serving minors and their equivalents, affirming the social role the Council plays in supporting minors, by taking care of funds and life affairs.

The minister underlined keenness to develop the efficiency of the Minors’ Affairs and Funds Directorate so as to be able to assume its duties to the fullest, by ensuring easy services to the minors and their equivalents , including the including developing electronic systems and applying modern methods of customer service.

He indicated that the current priority is the development of the minors’ funds through appropriate investment opportunities, which will increase the return on profits while preserving capital, in partnership and cooperation with the private sector.

The Council also discussed the topics on its agenda, and took the necessary decisions towards them, in a way that meets the needs of minors and their equivalents.
