Aggression commits 51 violations in Hodeida in 24 hours

The aggression forces committed 51 violations of the ceasefire agreement in Hodeida province over the past 24 hours, an official at the operations room to monitor the violations said on Sunday.

The official in the operations room told the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that among the aggression forces violations were the creation of combat fortifications in al-Jabaliya and Hays, and a spy plane flew over Maqbana.

He pointed out that the violations also included six violations of artillery shell and 41 violations of various gunshots.

King of Jordan, Speakers of House of Representatives, Senate in Japan Discuss Regional, International Developments

King of Jordan, King Abdullah II, discussed with Speaker of the House of Representatives of Japan, Hiroyuki Hosoda, and Speaker of the Japanese Senate, Hidehisa Otsuji the most important regional and international developments, especially the Palestinian cause, as he stressed the importance of de-escalation in the Palestinian territories.

King Abdullah II, who is currently visiting Japan, referred to his country’s efforts to support the Palestinian position, achieve calm and protect Islamic and Christian holy sites in Occupied Jerusalem.

During the two meetings, which were held separately, the depth of the historical relations and strategic partnership between the two countries and ways to develop them, were emphasized.

For his part, Speaker of the Japanese House of Representatives commended Jordan’s plans to develop and diversify energy sources and establish water desalination projects.

Speaker of the Japanese Senate also praised Jordan’s efforts to bear the burden of asylum and provide basic services to refugees, stressing the need for the international community to help Jordan in dealing with the refugee crisis.

4 Suspected ISIS Elements Arrested in Southern Turkey

The Turkish authorities arrested four people suspected of belonging to ISIS in Mersin, in the southern province of Mersin.

The anti-terrorism teams carried out simultaneous operations in coordination with the Public Prosecutor’s Office.

The arrestees included an ISIS leading figure.

A large number of digital materials and documents were seized in the operations.

The security forces in Istanbul often launch operations to pursue and track people suspected of belonging to ISIS and Al-Qaeda, which resulted in the arrest of dozens.

Turkiye’s Defense Industry Budget Increases to US$75 Billion, Says Erdogan

Turkiye’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the total budget of Ankara’s defense industry would jump to USD 75 billion.

Speaking at the ceremony of handing over the first domestic landing ship TCG Anadolu to the Turkish Navy, Erdogan said that the number of the defense industry projects surged to 750, and the number of companies increased to 2,700.

In addition to its military uses, TCG Anadolu can also be used for humanitarian relief operations, Erdogan revealed.

He stated that all weapon systems and sensors that will be placed on the Turkish frigates have been developed with local and national resources.

Qatar University Launches Series of Educational Training Workshops for Students, Researchers

Qatar University, represented by the Office of the Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies, has launched a series of educational training workshops for students and researchers at the university, which will last for a month.

The series includes seven training workshops presented by a group of academics and researchers at Qatar University. It focuses on the methods, ethics, and methodologies of writing solid, high-impact scientific research, in addition to shedding light on the necessary procedures for patent registration.

In a statement to Qatar News Agency , Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies Dr. Mariam Al Maadeed said that these workshops provide an excellent platform for researchers to learn the latest trends and approaches in their various fields, and to engage in meaningful discussions with colleagues and experts from a variety of disciplines.

She stressed the importance of raising the level of scientific research writing skills among students and researchers at Qatar University and learning ways to increase the impact of research papers in the local and global scientific community, which will reflect on the university’s status, reputation and international classification.

The series started with two workshops, the first on “Writing a High Impact, Publishable Research Paper” by Director of Research Planning and Development Dr. Bassim Hammadi, which focused on the stages of writing the research paper from the moment the title was written, until its submission to the specialized scientific journal and then its acceptance.

The second workshop was presented by Dr. Mohamed Emara, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine and Head of the Research Ethics & Integrity Department at the Research Planning and Development, it was titled “The Institutional Review Board (IRB), Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), and A-Z Institutional Biohazard Committee (IBC)” The workshop dealt with the precautions that must be paid attention to and the procedures that must be followed and specified by the Ministry of Public Health when conducting any scientific research that includes human or animal elements or results in biological waste, in addition to reviewing the way the university deals with these researches and the approvals that must be obtained.

The third workshop was titled “Steps to improve the research article and improve its vision by researchers”, and it is also presented by Dr. Bassim Hammadi. It was followed by the fourth workshop entitled “Strategy for writing an effective and heavily cited review article” by Dr. Aboubakr Abdullah Professor of Materials Science & Engineering at Qatar University, Head of the Research Innovation and Excellence Office at the Universitys Research Planning and Development Department.

The fifth workshop, presented by Dr. Abdelaziz Bouras Professor in Computer Science and Manager of Pre-Award Department at QU on “Writing a Successful Award Proposal”.

The sixth and seventh workshops focus on the issue of patents, with the first titled “Registering a Patent from Qatar University: What You Need to Know”, and the second is “How can you formulate your own patent”.
