Al-Manfi meets Secretary-General of Lake Chad Basin Authority.

Tripoli, Head of Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Manfi, met, Monday in Tripoli, with the Executive Secretary of the Lake Chad Basin Authority, Maman Nouhou, in the presence of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity and acting Minister of Agriculture, Hussein Attia.

The media office of the Presidential Council stated that the meeting dealt with a number of files that represent a common interest among the member states of the authority, foremost of which is the security and water file.

The Electoral Commission organizes a workshop on supporting elections in Libya.

Tripoli, Today, Monday, the High National Elections Commission, in partnership with the International Electoral Support Team in Libya, organized a Bridge workshop on political parties.

The speeches delivered at the workshop expressed the importance of these programs to raise the level of participation during the upcoming events, according to what was published by the UNHCR’s media office.

The program aims to train (30) employees from various departments and divisions of the Commission in the public administration, using the Bridge methodology, which consists of a mixture of activities, presentations, practical applications and examples.

Extensive discussions took place between the participants and the working groups with a team from the United Nations to support the elections in Libya to provide international perspectives, comparisons and options available to understand the role of parties from a technical perspective specific to the High National Elections Commission.

The 3-day workshop represents an opportunity to enhance the Commission’s staff’s awareness of political parties and their role in the electoral process, in addition to studying mechanisms for monitoring political finance and monitoring electoral campaigns, through informed discussions, and a program prepared by a team approved by Bridge and the Commission, and the international support team.

This workshop comes within the framework of the Commission’s strategy to enhance electoral awareness and knowledge among the staff of the High National Elections Commission.

The Minister of Higher Education discusses with the Spanish ambassador the strengthening of cooperation between Libyan and Spanish universities.

Tripoli, The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, “Omran Al-Qayeb,” discussed today, Monday, with the Spanish Ambassador to Libya, “Javier Larache,” strengthening aspects of cooperation between Libyan universities and Spanish universities.

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research stated on its Facebook page that the two parties discussed, during their meeting in Tripoli, opening the way for Libyan students to learn the Spanish language and opening an office for the Spanish Institute (cervantes) in Libya, which has 88 branches around the world, in addition to providing study seats for Libyan students. .

Al-Qayeb also suggested during the meeting to open an office in Libya for Libyan students studying in Spain to facilitate the completion of their procedures in the easiest way.

At the end of the meeting, Al-Qayeb handed the Spanish ambassador an invitation addressed to the Spanish Minister of Higher Education to visit Libya.
