53rd Independent Infantry Brigade is preparing for its tactical exercise with live ammunition

Misurata-, the 53rd Independent Infantry Brigade of the General Staff of the Libyan Army announced that one of its regiments will carry out a tactical exercise with live ammunition, Monday.

The media center of the Presidency of the General Staff stated that the tactical project will be held in the Suwayh area, south of the city of Zliten, where light and heavy weapons will be used.

Coordinator of UNSMIL discusses with Libyan Dignitaries for Reconciliation efforts to resolve Libyan crisis

Tripoli- The Libyan Dignitaries for Reconciliation has expressed concerns about the current political situation and its impact on the lives of the Libyan people throughout the country.

This came during a meeting held by a delegation from the Council today, Sunday, with the acting head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya and the coordinator of the mission, Resdon Zeninga, according to a report on the mission’s website.

During the meeting, the delegation stressed that elections that should be held within six months are the only solution to the Libyan crisis, stressing the need to renew efforts for national reconciliation through a social track.

The council delegation during their meeting with Resdon Zeninga, presented proposals to solve the political blockage related to the executive authority, through solutions rooted in Libyan customs and traditions, according to the mission.

Zeninga welcomed their efforts and proposals, stressing that the United Nations is committed to holding elections in accordance with a constitutional basis and a legal framework as soon as possible.
