The President of the Presidential Council meets the Chairman of the Justice and Construction Party

Tripoli- The President of the Presidential Council, Muhammad Al-Manfi, met today, Sunday, the head of the Justice and Construction Party, “Imad Al-Banani”, and a number of party members.

The media office of the President of the Presidential Council said that the meeting exchanged views on political developments in the country.

He also discussed the importance of strengthening consensus among all parties to the political process, maintaining stability, and moving forward towards achieving the upcoming electoral benefits.

At the invitation of Qatar, the Minister of Foreign Affairs participates in the Chadian peace negotiations in Doha

Doha- The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Najla Al-Manqoush, participated at the invitation of the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs and in coordination with the Chadian side, in the Chadian peace negotiations in Doha, under the auspices of the State of Qatar and the support of the countries concerned with the Chadian issue.

Al-Manqoush stressed in her speech that Libya and Chad are two neighboring countries with one strategic and security extension and depth, and the instability of one of them affects the national security of the other country, its territorial integrity, and the wasting of its capabilities.

She added that the instability and insecurity we are experiencing today in southern Libya and northern Chad contributed to the spread of many destructive phenomena in that region, and it has become a haven for human smugglers, drug and arms dealers, terrorism and mercenaries.

She continued, “The signs of reconciliation in Chad have begun to take the right path with the convening of the Chadian opposition forum with the Transitional Military Council under the auspices of the State of Qatar for comprehensive reconciliation, to end the transitional phase and the end of the armed conflict, and to bring the Chadian state to the stage of stability and construction, and the Libyan state represented by the Government of National Unity is fully prepared to help get to that point.”

Al-Manqoush indicated that the Libyan government will support the parties that will be a party to that reconciliation and with the agreements that emerge from this meeting, and push for the return of the factions present on Libyan lands to their country and ban their use of Libyan lands as a base from which to destabilize and security the neighboring country Chad.
