Head of Sabha security confirms Sabha court under siege with armed vehicles and heavy armor.

Tripoli, The Sabha Security Directorate said that the Sabha Court was under a suffocating siege with armed vehicles and heavy armoured vehicles belonging to the Battalion (115) and the Tarek Ben Ziad Battalion of the Karama forces, which prevented citizens, judges and employees from entering and carrying out their work, dismissing news circulated by some media organs about business as usual in the Court of Sabha as false and unfounded. The directorate added in a statement published today and signed by Brigadier General Mohammed Bishr that ‘while it is claimed that the doors of the court are open to all, armed military elements raided the court building twice and expelled judges and employees and prevented citizens and lawyers from entering, since last Thursday, November 25 and also on 28 of the same month.

The Directorate condemned what it termed violations, saying that the battalion (115) of General Tarek bin Ziad under the command of Mohammed al-Jareh has been in southern Libya for more than three years and has never secured any institution in general and the building of the Court of Sabha In particular, what makes this clear to everyone that the objectives of this blatant interference in the affairs of judges and the disruption of justice are conclusively demonstrated.
