The National Oil Corporation discusses cooperation prospects with Schlumberger International ways to increase oil production.

Tripoli, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Oil Corporation Mustafa Sun’Allah held a meeting with the General Manager of Schlumberger International Company, Libya Branch, to discusscomapny’s activity in Libya in the field of maintenance of closed wells, to bring them back to production.

The meeting also dealt with the company’s contribution in the field of sustainable development and capacity building, and the latest developments regarding the payment of the debts owed by the National Oil Corporation.

The General Manager of Schlumberger International Company, Libya Branch affirmed the company’s keenness to provide devices and equipment for people with special needs to the Awjilah area, and equipment for public parks, as well as the company’s contribution by providing ambulances to the areas of Brega, Murada, Ubari, Gharifa and Bint Baya.

He added that the company will contribute to motivating young students and training them in the robotics industry, as well in the field of human resources development and developing the capabilities of workers in the oil field.

During his meeting with the General Manager of Repsol: Sanallah confirms the corporation’s endeavor, in cooperation with its partners, to enhance oil reserves and increase production.

Tripoli, The head of the National Oil Corporation, “Mustafa Sanallah,” affirmed that the corporation seeks, through its cooperation with its partners, to enhance oil reserves, increase production, and implement vital strategic projects to support and advance the national economy.

This came during his meeting today at the Corporation’s headquarters in Tripoli with the General Manager of the Spanish Repsol Company, Libya Branch, “Simone Siemna”, in the presence of the Deputy General Manager of the company, “Al-Mahdi Samamah”.

During the meeting, they discussed the development of means of joint cooperation and the general activity of the company in its various operations.

The company’s resumption of its development drilling programs, which was successful 7 years ago, was also discussed in the El Sharara field contracting area.

Al Koni’s talks with the European External Action Officer revolve around the issue of illegal migration.

Brussels, presidential Council Vice President Musa Al Koni discussed here on Tuesday illegal migration with Deputy Secretary General of the European External Action Service for Economic and Global Affairs Helena Koenig.

The talks, attended by Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs Mohamed Issa, and the high-level delegation accompanying AlKoni focused on the importance of dealing with the issue of illegal migration, shifting the fight against illegal migration from the Sea to the south.

The talks discussed support for Libya’s border control efforts and countering the flow of migration from the country’s southern borders, which would spare migrants crossing of the Libyan territory for Europe, the free difficulties they face on the way, at sea, and in detention centres. European official Helena Koenig stressed that the migration file occupies a special place in European politics and in the EU’s overall strategy.

Helena Koenig underscored the importance of cooperation in this file, stressing that illegal migration is not only about Libya, but is a common problem that the EU is keen to address in cooperation with Libya, and that it will not be late to provide all support for Libyan efforts in particular.
