Tripoli, The Medical Supply System received this evening, Sunday, the second shipment of the vaccine supplied by the American company “Pfizer”, after it arrived at Maitiga International Airport and completed its customs procedures.

The Medical Supply Agency said that the shipment contained “250,000” first and second doses, and they were directed to the Biotechnology Research Center to be kept in the refrigerators designated for keeping the vaccine. And distribution in the medical supply system, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Shamam, and the head of the cold-ring store in the device, Dr. Abdel Moneim Al-Auzi, the specialists in the device, the head of the examination and receipt committee in the device, and the head and members of the committee in charge of following up on vaccines at the Food and Drug Control Center.

The agency indicated that the Food and Drug Control Center received samples of the shipment to be calibrated by the Center’s Drug Control Department before granting permission to use it.

For his part, the Director of Stores Department confirmed that this shipment is the first batch of a shipment containing one million doses supplied from the United States of America.

Tripoli, Under the patronage of the Vice-President of the Presidential Council, Musa Al-Koni, the Ministries of Agriculture and Local Government signed in Tripoli on Sunday, a memorandum of understanding with the Mediterranean Institute of Agricultural Sciences in Italy, the first of its kind within the framework of a broader short and long-term partnership. Prior to the signing ceremony, the Vice-President of the Presidential Council reviewed opportunities for promoting spatial development projects in southern Libya, and ways to activate joint treaties. On his part, the Italian ambassador praised cooperation of the Libyan authorities, especially the Presidential Council, in directing Italian cooperation to serve the Libyan needs and the interests of the Libyan people, saying his country was ready to implement the long-term partnership, part of which the signing of the agreement.

Ambassador Puccini pledged to provide scholarships and training for Libyan youth, in the fields of agriculture and development, within the framework of partnership and cooperation between the two countries.

Al-Dbeiba discusses activation of Libyan-French agreement regarding localization of treatment of children’s tumors.

Tripoli, The Head of the Government of National Unity Abdul Hamid Al Dbeiba on Sunday held a meeting the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Samir Koko and members of the committee in charge of treating the spinal cordon to discuss mechanism for activating the Libyan-French agreement regarding the localization of treatment for children’s tumors.

The Prime Minister issued directives that this file should be completed in two phases, the first of which is sending approved cases for treatment, with the need to complete the procedures of the agreement and its entry into force.

It is worth mentioning that the Cabinet had approved last October the Ministry of Health agreement with the French company “G Saint Maghri” for the treatment of children’s tumors, bone marrow transplantation and microsurgery.

Government Decision No. (431) of 2021 authorizing the Ministry of Health to contract in the amount of thirteen million six hundred thousand euros, for the treatment of children’s tumors, bone marrow transplantation, and microsurgery for children.

The third article stipulated that the amount would be allocated for the benefit of the Ministry of Health, to be deducted from the General Health Insurance Fund.

And in accordance with Article 4 of the decision, the Janzour Hospital was approved as the site for the start of the program’s implementation.

Libya and Niger reach a final unified formula for a memorandum of understanding on regulating the recruitment of labor between the two countries.

Tripoli, The Ministry of Labor and Rehabilitation announced that it had reached a compromise formula with the Nigerien government, regarding organizing the recruitment of labor between the two countries.

The ministry explained that the negotiations that lasted for three days between the two sides in the Nigerian capital, Niamey, reached a final, unified formula for a memorandum of understanding between the two sides in preparation for signing it as soon as possible, after completing the administrative procedures in this regard, and an action plan was agreed upon to activate it after its signature, according to the ministry’s statement. .

A delegation from the Ministry of Labor and Rehabilitation headed by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labor and Rehabilitation for Employment Affairs, “Ali El-Hadi Daou,” headed to the Republic of Niger two days to hold a meeting with the specialists of the Ministry of Employment, Labor and Social Protection in the Republic of Niger, to discuss the memorandum of understanding regarding cooperation in the field of labor use between the two countries in accordance with the laws and regulating regulations.

The agent expressed his support and thanks for the efforts of the two parties to reach a single formula between Libya and Niger regarding the memorandum of understanding, and he hopes to sign it with the Minister of Labor and Rehabilitation of the State of Libya in the near future.

Al-Wakeel said that the Libyan and Nigerian people have historical and brotherly relations, stressing that the memorandum will serve and preserve the rights of the two friendly peoples and contribute to regulating the regular movement of labor away from the phenomenon of illegal immigration.
