Tripoli, The Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations and Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, Mr. Jan Kubis, met today in Tripoli with the Joint Committee 410 on organizing and absorbing the supporting force in state institutions.

The committee presented a detailed presentation of its meetings throughout the period of its work and its communication with the various state institutions, and the results of its work in establishing a special database to count the supporting forces according to a form, was prepared to push the implementation of the results of the committee’s work into effect by the government of national unity.

The sources of the committee indicated that what were included in the system is about (1,600) of the support force who filled out the questionnaires that were distributed previously, noting that most of the supporting force are from holders of higher degrees, and they were forced to take up arms and defend Tripoli.

The sources confirmed that the committee is currently seeking a process of integration through the work of the committee and its meeting with the previous ministries, and they are counting on the ministries to be supportive of the committee’s work.

The sources indicated that the military institution absorbed, trained and graduated, and another group was absorbed by the Ministry of Interior and launched other courses, but students are still there.

The sources confirmed that the meeting with the head of the mission clarified the picture in which the committee worked and the extent of the assistance that the mission would provide in several areas, including the demobilization and integration process.

Tripoli, The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transportation for Aviation Affairs and Air Transport Khaled Souissi, today, Wednesday, with the Chargé d’Affairs of the Greek Embassy in Tripoli, followed-up the results of previous meetings on the mechanism for returning flights between Greece and the airports of Tripoli and Benghazi.

Also, during the meeting that was held between them at the Ministry’s office and in the presence of a representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a representative of the Technical Cooperation Office of the Ministry of Transportation, ways of cooperation in the field of training for commercial aviation students and the development of cooperation in the fields of transportation.

The two parties agreed to prepare a joint memorandum of understanding to speed up the activation of aspects of cooperation between the two countries.

Tripoli, The Export Development Center of the Ministry of Economy and Trade participated in the exhibition accompanying the Libyan-Turkish Forum for Enterprise Development, which is being organized in Istanbul during the period from 16-18 November, in the presence of a number of Libyan companies registered in the exporters’ register with the center.

The participation of the Export Development Center comes in accordance with the instructions of the Minister of Economy and Trade “Mohammed Al-Hwiej” to support industries and national products that conform to the approved specifications and requirements and to find foreign markets for them by participating in the organization of exhibitions and internal and external economic and trade events and contributing to raising the level of trade exchange and the domestic product of non-oil exports.

Tripoli, Today, Wednesday, the Libyan News Agency presented the US ambassador and special envoy to Libya, Richard Norland, two copies of the book titled (The Nixon Epic – The Legend of an Unforgettable President) by Libyan author and journalist Abu al-Qasim Omar Rajeh. .

The two copies of the book were gifted to Ambassador Norland and the US Library of Congress, during a press interview with LANA’s press team today in the capital, Tripoli, marked by a personal gift from the author to the ambassador and the library.

The book deals, according to its author, the biography of President “Nixon” and his fingerprints in American political life.

The author “Abu al-Qasim Omar Rajeh” said in this book, which the president will not read, that (if you want to know how politics is made in America, you should read the biography of the late American President Richard Nixon, for he is a president who summarizes America, whether the America we hate and fear, or Which we are trying to understand, he summarizes what America means in terms of strength, achievements, plans, success and failure, even the American dream is reduced to Nixon, as he remained Vice President for two consecutive terms with President General “Eisenhower” the commander of the Allied forces advocating in World War II, then before that he was a member of the Council Representatives, as well as a member of the Senate, and finally became President of the United States for two terms, and resigned in the second term under the pressure of the so-called Watergate affair.

The author of the book added that the stubborn Republican Nixon was the one who presented the world with great names in the world of politics, including those who became president, such as Ford, Reagan, and Bush Sr., and some of them became famous throughout the world as “Henry Kissinger” and Minister “William Rogers,” the owner of what was known as the Peace Initiative among the Arabs And the Israelis, who opened the way to China’s isolation, and who unleashed the Sino-Western cooperation that brought China to a high level of growth, economy and technology, and who was the first president to speak with astronauts on the moon’s surface, and the first to help engineers urgently link the sources of knowledge, which is an idea ( Internet ).

The author of the book shed light on Nixon’s visit to Libya, saying that one of the remarkable things is his visit to Libya while he was Vice President, and his touring the streets of Tripoli with his wife, to be the highest American official to have visited our country so far, for all this and other issues dealt with in the book “Nixon’s Epic”. The US-Libyan relationship, also includes an interview with President Nixon’s grandson.
