Tripoli, The Prime Minister received a number of children from the Child Care Home at his home.

The Prime Minister and a number of his family members received this morning, Tuesday, at his home, a number of children from the Tripoli Child Care Home, on the occasion of the Prophet’s birthday, in commemoration of this occasion and in remembrance of the noble biography of the Holy Prophet. The children of the house presented a number of prophetic songs and praises to commemorate this great occasion.

Egypt and Germany reaffirmed commitment to move forward political process in Libya.

Cairo, Egypt and Germany reiterated their affirmation to move forward the political process in Libya, and to hold elections on time next December. This came during a meeting between Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Cairo, during which they discussed the latest developments regarding the Libyan crisis.

The two parties agreed on the need to move forward the political process in Libya, by holding the elections on time, and the exit of all mercenaries and foreign forces from the country.

Prime Minister congratulates Libyan people and Islamic nation on occasion of the Prophet’s birthday.

Tripoli, Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid al-Dabaiba, congratulated the Libyan people and the entire Islamic nation on the anniversary of the Prophet’s birthday, which falls on Tuesday, October 19, 2021.

According to the Prime Minister’s congratulations, Tuesday will be an official holiday in accordance with Law No. 5 / 2012 regarding official holidays.

Al Mangoush Urges EU Counterparts to Play Their Role in Assisting Libya Reach Stability, End Transition Period.

Tripoli, GNU Foreign Minister Najla Al Mangoush called on her counterparts in the EU countries to assume their role, in assisting Libyans attain the desired stability and end transition period.

This came in a participation by Al Mangoush at a meeting on Libya the EU Foreign Minister conducted in Luxemburg on Monday.

The Minster talked about the Libyan Stability Initiative launched by the Government of National Unity to achieve stability in Libya in anticipation for the elections in late December.

She referred to ongoing preparations for the Ministerial Conference to be held in Libya on Thursday and the hoped for results from the conference.

The Minister said the initiative with its military, security and economic implications could help Libya achieve the desired stability in anticipation of the forthcoming elections scheduled for December.

As for irregular migration, the Minister stressed that Libya was a transit country and one of the most affected from migration, adding that the solution lied in joining efforts by the international community and concerned organizations to initiate development projects in the countries of origin, rather than addressing the phenomenon in the transit countries.

Minister of Oil and Gas Issues Decision “50” of Suspension and Referral to Investigation of Chairman of NOC .

Tripoli, The GNU Minister of Oil and Gas Mohamed Aoun has issued decision No (50) of 2021 regarding suspension from work and referral of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Oil Corporation, “Mustafa Sun’Allah,” to the administrative investigation of the violations attributed to him.

The first article of the decision, a copy of which was obtained by the Libyan News Agency, specified these violations as non-compliance by the concerned person with the procedures and controls of obtaining prior permission from the Minister of Oil and Gas, when undertaking any official work mission and failure to submit the necessary report on internal tasks, in addition to his failure to adhere to the administrative hierarchy in Administrative correspondence in violation of the regulations of the approved administrative apparatus of the Ministry of Oil and Gas.

The violations also included, according to the decision, failure of the head of the corporation, Mustafa Sun’Allah, to transfer the affiliation of the sovereign departments; Inspection and Measurement, Corporate Accounting Department , and International Cooperation to the Ministry of Oil and Gas, in addition to assigning a member of the Board of Directors of the National Oil Corporation the duties of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Corporation, in violation of the legislation governing the work of the National Oil Corporation.

The second article of the decision also called for the concerned person to be suspended from work until the administrative investigation is completed, provided that the investigation with the person concerned is carried out in accordance with the rules and procedures in force at the Administrative Control Authority and with its knowledge.

The decision also demanded that a copy of the investigation results be submitted to the Minister of Oil and Gas, accompanied by recommendations regarding the continuation of the concerned person suspension from work, or the lifting of this suspension, provided that a decision is issued by the Minister of Oil and Gas regarding the implementation of these recommendations.

During his participation in the meeting of the African Energy Committee: Minister of Oil and Gas calls on African countries to develop action plan to benefit from natural gas in generating electricity.

Tripoli, Minister of Oil and Gas Mohamed Aoun has confirmed that the ministry was seeking to develop onshore and offshore gas fields with the aim of increasing production and filling the deficit in supplying natural gas to consumers.

This came in a speech during his participation today virtually in the high-level meeting on the approved policies on natural gas from an African energy perspective, which was organized by the African Energy Committee, in the presence of a number of oil, gas and energy ministers of the African countries.

Aoun said that the oil and gas sector has a plan through which it seeks to develop the capacity of the natural gas transmission network to meet the needs of local consumption of natural gas in all parts of Libya, and this tops the power plants and export the surplus, with the aim of reducing the use of fossil fuels to preserve the environment.

The minister also indicated the ministry’s national commitment towards preserving the environment and the climate, and its keenness to adopt the “zero gas flaring” policy with the aim of reducing gas flaring in an effort to reach the zero stage, and emphasizing the implementation of environmental sanitation programs.

At the conclusion of his speech, Aoun called for developing an action plan to benefit from natural gas in generating electricity in African countries whose population lacks electricity while they are exporting it.
