The UN Envoy Meets The French Ambassador To Libya, And They Discuss The Latest Political Developments.

Tripoli, The United Nations Special Envoy, Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, Jan Kubisch, held a meeting today, Tuesday, with the French Ambassador to Libya Beatrice du Hellen, at the ambassador’s residence in the capital, Tripoli, a meeting during which they discussed (the latest political developments in light of the elections that are scheduled for December 24 of this year, according to a tweet on the French embassy account on Twitter.

These days, the UN envoy is conducting intensively, many contacts and meetings with all parties related to political developments in Libya, inside and outside the country.

The Presidential Council Monitors The Readiness Of The Electoral Commission To Manage The Electoral Process On Time.

Tripoli, President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Manfi, accompanied by Council member Musa Al-Koni, visited the High National Elections Commission in the capital, Tripoli, to see and follow up on its readiness to manage the electoral process on the date scheduled for next December 24, and to confirm the presidential support To its work.

Al-Manfi and Al-Koni stressed during their meeting with the Chairperson of the Commission’s Board and members of the Commission’s Board of the Presidential Council’s support to the High National Elections Commission to hold the elections scheduled for the twenty-fourth of next December.

The president appreciated the Commission’s efforts to fulfill its tasks towards this important stage, and to achieve the aspirations of Libyans for the success of the democratic path and the achievement of peace and stability.

Minister Of Local Government Discuss With German Ambassador Exchange In Area Of Municipalities And Local Government.

Tripoli, GNU Minister of Local Government Badr Iddin Al Toumi held a virtual meeting with German Ambassador to Libya Oliver Owcza. The Deputy EU Ambassador to Libya took part in the meeting carried through Zoom.

Cooperation prospects between the Local Government Ministry and the EU and Germany in the local governance area was discussed at the meeting which was also involved the Secretary General of the Supreme Local Administration Council and Representatives of Dutch Municipalities Association VNG, and the German organization GIZ.

Al Dbeiba Discuss With French Foreign Minister Coordination Over Berlin 2 Conference.

Paris, The Head of the Government of National Unity Abdul Hamid Al Dbeiba met French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian with whom he discussed joint coordination over the Berlin2 conference and the UN Security Council meeting to be chaired by France.

The meeting was attended by Foreign Minister Najla Al Mangoush.

Al Dbeiba underlined the key role France can play to reinforce political legitimacy and national sovereignty all over Libya and to put an end to foreign presence.

Egyptian Team Arrives In Misrata For Airport Inspection In Anticipation Of Resumption Of Flights.

Tripoli, An Egyptian team has conducted an on the ground visit to the Misrata international airport to on an inspection mission to take firsthand account of operation at the airport in anticipation of resuming flights to Cairo International Airport.

The Egyptian delagtion was escorted by a team assigned by the Ministry of Transport, the Airport Authority and the Libyan and Afriqiyah Airlines.

The team held meeting with airport officials before taking a tour of the airport to inspect security measures according to airport officials.
