LANA Correspondent: The Delegation Of The Western Region In The Committee (5 + 5) Is Leaving Sirte In The West Via The Coastal Road That Has Been Closed For More Than A Year And A Half.

Sirte The members of the delegation of the Joint Military Committee (5 + 5) from the western region left the city of Sirte via the coastal road in the direction of Tripoli.

The correspondent of the Libyan News Agency reported that the delegation of the western region in the committee headed by Major General “Ahmed Abu Shahma” left the city of Sirte in the direction of Tripoli through the coastal road closed for more than a year and a half after participating in the fifth meeting of the joint military committee, which concluded its work today, Tuesday in the city.

Lana Political Editor: Can Berlin 2 Bring Positive Results In Terms Of Restoring National Sovereignty And Libyan Decision.

Tripoli, The eyes of Libyans, females and males, are on the Berlin capital which is hosting the Berlin 2 Conference aimed at pushing for a solution to the Libyan political problem.

The Libyan delegation is led by the Head of the Government of National Unity Abdul Hamid Al Dbeiba, as one authority with one political vision regarding the new authority’s approach to issues of stability, unifying of institutions and national reconciliation.

Lana political editor commented on the Berlin 2 aspirations by saying the man on the street and well as the political, cultural and media elite look forward for positive outcome from the conference for the people of Libya for two main reasons, first; is unlike other international conferences Libya is taking part in this event as an official delegation and with a vision that’s based on restoring Libya’s sovereign decision and withdrawal of foreign fighters and mercenaries.

The second is that Berlin 2 is twine of Berlin 1 (19 January 2020) which stabilized, despite all skeptics, the ceasefire and led to establishment of new executive authority. These two reasons constitute a push to get Libya out of its crisis.

The Editor exalted Libyan Libyan negotiators to entrench the concept of unity of homeland, national sovereignty and to confront all those who seek to serve their own ends at the expense of the Libyan people.

He warned against attempts by some countries to taking part in the Berlin 2 Conference and intervening in the Libyan business, to devise solution that suit their own interests.

The Editor concluded by saying participation of the Libyan authority for the first time in the works of the Berlin 2 Conference should reflect the real and urgent demands of all the political spectrum in Libya and also the demands of the Libyan people for restoration of the Libyan decision and the Libyan sovereignty and this can only be achieved by withdrawal of all foreign forces and mercenaries from Libyan soil without delay and a rejection of all forms of foreign interventions in Libyan internal affairs.

The National Unity Government Is Participating In The Work Of The “Berlin 2” Conference With A High-Level Political And Economic Delegation.

Berlin, The German Foreign Ministry said that the main countries concerned with the Libyan conflict will meet again tomorrow, Wednesday, in the capital, Berlin, in the framework of a new conference aimed at ensuring the holding of elections in Libya at the end of this year and the withdrawal of foreign forces and mercenaries from this country.

The conference – in which the Government of National Unity is participating for the first time with a high-level delegation – will discuss the transitional process in Libya since the last conference and the upcoming stages to impose permanent stability of the situation, according to what was reported by the German Foreign Ministry hosting the conference.

The Secretary-General of the United Nations, “Antonio Guterres,” is scheduled to make a video intervention. The United States will be represented by its foreign minister, “Anthony Blinken,” who is on a European tour.

The main bet will be to ensure that presidential and legislative elections will be held on December 24, which the national unity government, headed by “Abdul Hamid al-Dbaiba,” promised to hold.

The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity “Abdul Hamid al-Dbaiba” and his accompanying delegation arrived this afternoon in Berlin on an official visit to Germany, during which he will participate in the “Berlin 2” conference and inaugurate the work of the Libyan-German Economic Forum.

The Libyan News Agency delegate to the capital, Berlin, stated that the Prime Minister is accompanied by a political delegation that includes Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, “Najla Al-Manqoush”, Minister of State for Prime Minister and Cabinet Affairs, “Adel Juma’a”, Minister of State for Communication and Political Affairs, “Walid Al-Lafi” and the official spokesman for the government, “Mohamed Hammouda”. And a number of consultants and experts in ministries and state institutions.

The Prime Minister is also accompanied by an economic delegation consisting of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy and Trade, “Suhail Abu Shiha”, the President of the National Oil Corporation “Mustafa Sanalla”, the President of the Libyan Investment Corporation, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Electricity Company “Wiam Al-Abdali” and a number of economists and businessmen.
